LOST, Grey's, and a Bad Day.

Holy brutal LOST Batman! I so did not think that guy would execute Benjamin's daughter!!! What is the deal with Ben and Mr. Widmore? What "rules" was Benjamin talking about? What's with the smoke monster...does Ben just keep it in a cage in the basement?!? Why does Mr. Widmore think he owns the island? I got nothin', I'm just gonna sit here, watch it, and shake my head. On the shallow front...could Sawyer get any hotter? Seriously!!!
Did you all watch Grey's A. before LOST? Lord, what a waste that show is! Hated it:( For what it's worth...I am so rooting for Rose (is that her name?). Meridith is a total buzz kill, and she doesn't deserve McDreamy. Rose is cool, happy, and she has the hair I wish I had...She deserves McD...That's just my two cents. This show better pick it up fast, 'cause I am seriously losing interest!
I don't know if you can tell from my tone...but I'm havin' a day! You know I joined the healthclub right? Well, Miss Peach has been taking a dance class (it's her first drop off class). It's a creative movement class. Today was her third class. I walk by the little window every once in a while to check in (she can't see me). I'd say half the time Miss P. is participating, and the other half of the time, she is twirling and spinning and doing her own thing. Today after class, the teacher sits down and tells me that Miss P. is "disrupting the class"..."She says no a lot." Well folks, she is two and a half! According to Spock (pg. 270) "Negativism reaches new heights and takes new forms after two...it is hard to get along with a child between two and three." I am just so pissed off! This woman is teaching a class to kiddos 18months to 3 years old...and I am supposed to believe that my child is the one kiddo disrupting the class!?! Good Lord lady, they are two years old...have you met two?!? She made me feel like I am doing something wrong in the parenting arena...Ugh! So now, I have to participate in the class next week, and show Miss P. how to follow along. That just seems wrong to me...Why can't Miss P. spin and twirl when she wants to? It is creative movement for Chris'sake! I am so not signing her up for this class again...Thanks for letting me rant, I needed to get that out.

Invisible

It's late, I'm pissed off, I should be going to bed. What a crappy day today was...rainy, gray, yucky day. I'm in the Verizon store today and the team was in the stroller with the rain hood on, which they hate (who can blame them). One guy working in the store, and one customer...me, being helped. Then in storms single important girl. "I have to get to work, I'm already late. Can you transfer my numbers into my new phone?" They then proceed to have a dialog about how it will cost $10 cash to do this. She doesn't have any cash, can you do it anyway...blah, blah, blah. It was like I wasn't even there. She just assumed that my time wasn't worth anything since I didn't have a job to go to. I swear, I waited ten minutes while they went back and forth! I suppose I could have said something, but I just didn't have the energy. Quite frankly, I would have let her go ahead if she had asked...but she didn't even acknowledge me. It just pissed me off. Rest assured, it was just one of many things that made me mad today. I've had it with spring...spring can bite my a**! I'm sick of waiting for you...Bring on summer.

Uncle!

Seriously, this is how my weekend looked! Seriously!!! We just stood at the window, and watched the people trudge by. Done, done, done, done, done with snow. I've been good, really I have. I deserve a little spring, I do. So if you live somewhere where there is sun, put some in an envelope, slap a stamp on it, and send it my way...now!

No Do-overs!

You know, it just peeves me. Michigan and Florida were told by the Democratic party, that if they moved their primaries up, that their votes would not count. Yet in the race to be first, and matter most, they moved the primaries up anyway. Now, they want their votes to count. Tough sh*t, the consequences for your actions are...your votes don't count. I just don't think the Dems. should bend the rules. I know Hillary needs all the delegates she can get, and I'm sure the Clintons are pushing hard to count Michigan and Florida. I just think enough is enough. You knew you weren't gonna count when you moved them up, so guess what, you don't count! (Sorry to the folks in Fla. and Mich. your reps screwed you and you should let them know how you feel about it!)

WTF!!!

OK, just go with me here...I'm gonna rant, but it is totally justified...You know I was in Vail last week, right? Well, I saw this just awful girl b*tching about how there was to much snow so she didn't want to ski (whatever, *rolling eyes*). Yes, she was a dreadful person, but she was wearing the coolest ski jacket I had ever seen. So the bro and I stalked her until we could see the logo on the coat. It was an R looking K, what logo is that? Then I started seeing various colors of this fabu coat all over the mountain. Turns out it's the collection from cutie patootie euro skier Lasse Kjus, hence the name Kjus (pronounced ch-jus). I go online...brace yourselves...how much...any guesses? I'm tellin' you, brace yourselves..........$899.00!!! WTF, that is crazy money for a ski jacket, just crazy! Even if I had it, I couldn't bring myself to spend it on a ski jacket, I'm not crazy! I did go to the ritzy ditzy ski shop and try it on (in case any of you are wondering, I fit the 6). So now I am just p*ssed and ranting:( I want this coat, I even checked ebay...no go. Alas, no $899.00 ski jacket for the Warden, boo hiss! So change my mind...tell me why this coat sucks so I don't want it any more...

Will There Be Anything Else?

Goin' a little crazy here!!! Do you ever just hit the wall? I don't know what it is...Breakfast, lunch and dinner and getting kiddos to eat it. Breakfast, lunch and dinner and getting kiddos to eat it. Breakfast, lunch and dinner and getting kiddos to eat it. Breakfast, lunch and dinner and getting kiddos to eat it. Clean up all the mess that ends up on the floor. Change the diapers. Oh, and let's not forget His Highness Mr. Smokey! As if I wasn't picking up enough poop around this place! Ugh, it's enough to drive a girl mad! I just feel like the indentured servant some days. Don't mind me, I'm just here to do all the work...

Watching Sex & the City rerun...I just love when Big shows up in Paris *sniff* Love! Thank God I married my Big!

If You Can't Say Anything Nice...

Then mind your own effin' business! I'm peeved, again! Doesn't it seem like I'm always worked up about somethin'? By now, you all know, I live in The Big City. I would assume this presents different challenges in child raising than if I had moved to the country (where I am from) or the suburbs (which I know nothing about). Currently, one of my biggest issues is with the fact that... A) I am with the children all day (husband works long hours). B) Miss Peach is now a toddler, she wants to walk everywhere. This is not easy for me. It is quite a juggling act to push one baby and chase the other. When you add in the rest of the city, it becomes downright dangerous! Here is an example...Yesterday we were crossing at the stop sign, Miss Peach was pushing The Little Man in the stroller and I was guiding them across the street. Miss Peach's shoe came off right in the intersection, I am trying to get the shoe back on and shuffle to the other side. Cars were honking (can you believe that...what a**holes!). Finally (maybe a minute later) I got so flustered that I just picked her up and got us all to the other side. Her other shoe came off when I did this and she screamed "green shoe, green shoe, green shoe". Wouldn't you know it, the jerk ran right over her shoe! Seriously, you couldn't give me one minute...seriously! It is scenes like this that lead me to buying this...Yes, it is a harness. I assumed when I bought this that some folks would accuse me of putting my child on a leash...well maybe it is, but I am just trying to keep her safe. You have to remember that I am navigating two small children through a major metropolitan area by myself every day! Miss Peach screams like crazy when I hold her hand, I don't know why but she just isn't up for that. She does however love her "monkey". She wears it backwards so she can hug the monkey (sweet). I agonized over this purchase, but it really works for me. Well wouldn't you know it, some shriveled old bag walked by us today, looked right at Miss Peach and said "are you a puppy?" She had a real snotty tone, and said it more than once. Who asked you?!? I realize that when you raised your children, the city had horse and buggies, but can I just say things are movin' a bit faster now! There were so many ugly things I wanted to say to her... Why is it that people think they can just say anything to perfect strangers? Yeah lady, my child is a puppy, and she doesn't seem to mind sleeping in a crate either!!! I just don't have the strength to defend myself to strangers. If you don't like the way I gettin' it done, move along. Is this going on everywhere? Am I way out of line for using the monkey harness? That witch put me right back into a tailspin over my decision...Thanks for nothing b*tch!!!

Gaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!

Let me start by saying I am finally in the calm after the storm. The Little Man is sleeping, and Miss Peach is singing Kumbaya on her way to sleepy time. But, oh what a morning...Today was the playgroup Halloween party. I love Halloween, I think everyone knows that fact. Miss Peach has been sleeping various parts of her princess costume for about a month now. You guessed it...comes time to put the costume on, she wants nothing to do with it. No tiara, no wand, no shoes, and no pretty pink dress. Fine, I'll concentrate on The Little Man and then return to her meltdown. He looked so cute in his bunny suit! So cute! The little tail...I just wanted to pinch him! Alright, Little Man down, back to Miss Peach. She is in the middle of huge tantrum meltdown. I hate to admit it, but I just snapped. We just had to get this train rollin' and we weren't getting anywhere. I threw the dress on the bed, "fine, you don't want to wear the costume, fine" I turn around and grab her favorite pants and t-shirt, quickly throw them on. The only shoes she would let near her feet were The Little Man's, fine. I was so pissed, I am sure she knew it by the look on my face. This entire time she is crying and screaming, it was awful...Then she looked up at me and said between tears and gasps for air "what's....the....matter?". I stopped dead in my tracks, I realized this wasn't about her, it was all me. Any day she wants to wear her costume is Halloween for her. Today was not that day. She didn't care what she wore to the party. It shouldn't have been a big deal, and I just freaked about it. I tried to hug her, and she said "want down" (she was on the changing table). So I dropped the whole Halloween angle and packed the kiddos up for the playgroup.
Well that whole scene sounds bad enough, right? Apparently not! I tried to print directions to the party and yes...my computer crashes! I hate that monster!!! Hate, hate, hate. I swear it's me, that stupid machine has it out for me...it works for everyone else but me. I want to burn it into a smoldering pile of plastic!!! Fine, get on Husband's laptop and write the directions. Off we go, in the car, which I hate, to the party.
Life is not that easy folks, you know I got lost, right? I am driving all over the west side looking for this stupid street and cursing everyone who lives here! Why would anyone live out here?!? I must have stopped three times and asked where stupid street was, and everyone looked at me like I was a martian. It occurred to me later that I had purple horns on my head. Yes, I wore horns to the party. I looked like a martian, so people were treating me like I was a martian. Duh! The whole time I was lost (half an hour) I am singing that Carpenters song..."why do birds suddenly appear, every time, you are near...Just like me, they like to be, close to you." It is the only thing that calms down The Little Man, so I sing it a lot. Can I just tell you how hard it is to lose your mind and sing the Carpenters at the same time!!!
We finally get to the party and The Little Man was asleep, so I had to wake him up. This makes for a crabby Little Man. Boy, he was. I just felt bad, I felt bad for dumping my unorganized self and screaming children on this woman and her party. I felt bad for being late. I felt bad Miss Peach wouldn't wear her costume. To top it off, I felt fat. Dont'cha hate that feeling that you don't fit in your clothes?! I guess you could say I was havin' a bad clothes day.
I suppose at the end of it all, the kiddos had fun. Mom was down to her last nerve, but it's worth it if the kiddos had fun, right? I just felt so bad for losin' it with Miss Peach over the stupid costume. I want to throw my computer out the window:( It's just been a yucky day, all I can say is...Here's to hoping it gets better after nap time...blah, blah, blah. Can I have a do-over please?

Oh Paleeeeeze!

OK, since I haven't found anybody else bloggin' Grey's Anatomy, I'm doin' it myself! Yes, myself! Come'on writers of this show!!! Come'on! I just have such a hard time believing that what'sherface...what's her name???? Merideth, that's it, Merideth has McDreamy (remembered his name) saying he loves her, wants to marry her, have kids with her, and grow old with her...and she can't handle it right now!?! Get over it girl cause McHotty ain't stayin' on the market long. I personally don't think, ponytail girl, you are hot enough for him! Just throw McDreamy another chick, cause I am sick, yes sick of the Merideth not ready for McDreamy love storyline! Done, done, done! I mean look at this dude...Hotty McHot, hot, hot. He ain't waitin' around for Merideth!!! Moving on...The whole Izzy, Torrez, O'malley love triangle why? Why did you have to go there? I would rather have Izzy in love with the ghost of Denny *oh Denny*...I loved the Izzy Denny story, and you had to go and kill him off, boo hiss! Now bring him back as a ghost, you did it once, you can do it again. I don't want Izzy and George to be a couple...I'm not even rooting for them. Given the choice, I'd rather see her with Alex...I liked the direction you were going after Denny with Alex, then you toss George into the ring! In the words of Homer Simpson, Doh! What are you doin' to me??? I don't know how you are going to fix it, just fix it!!! I want it fixed, and I want it now...So get on it OK!!!

That Can Not Be Me!

Gaaaahhhh! What a morning! One year baby appointment today and top it off with flu shots for the team. It never ceases to amaze me how hard it is for me to get the babies dressed, packed up, and downtown for the doctor. I always wish Husband could go with me, it seems he always has to work. I wrestle them in the car, downtown, out of the car...When everyone is good and cranky, they lock us all up in a tiny room and make us wait. Does every doctor do this or is it just mine? It is so hard to keep two little toddlers from tearing that itty bitty room apart! There is a mirror along the wall in the shoebox room, and I caught a good look at myself...not happy. Is that me? Is that what I look like? I look exhausted!!! I feel exhausted!!! Good God girl, where has your makeup gone? I seriously need to find time to put makeup on (yeah, like that is going to happen). How do I stop myself from looking like death warmed over?!?...

Just an Observation.

I have been thinking something for a long time now. Then Ali casually mentioned it today in her post, and I'm like "oh, it's not just me". Now let me start by saying...I am a huge U2 fan. I can not count the number of times I have seen this band. I spent the better part of the 80's and 90's drooling over Bono. My love for him is eternal. I am all for him becoming...Pope, Nobel Prize winner, Czar, King, President, whatever! The one thing I will not stand for him becoming, is Robin Williams!!! What is up with this!?! When did this happen!?! How did Bono turn into Robin Williams? Can someone please explain this to me? I will be here waiting for an explanation...In the meantime, I will take my Bono in the 80's with a mullet, thank you very much!

Scenes From an Elevator.

Husband, The Little Man, Miss Peach and I are waiting for an elevator. The doors open and a man and a little boy holding car keys are already on the elevator. The little boy looks maybe three years old. We pile into the elevator...

Miss Peach: "boy car keys."
Me: "Yes, the boy is holding car keys."
Little boy: (looking very smug and bothered by our presence in the elevator) "They are not car keys, they are Mercedes keys."

Then Miss Peach promptly kicked the little sh*t in the shins! (not really, but one of us should have). What kind of three year old says that? I think I should have slapped his father.

A Night Out...I Think Not.

So I finally get out with the girls....I thought. Two other Moms and I go out for dinner and a movie. Sounds good, right? Go out have some drinks, blow off a little steam, you know not be Moms for an evening. That is what I was thinking anyway...All these Moms did was talk about babies! What to do about weaning off the bottle, what it is like having two babies, what to do about nap times, when is the best time for a playgroup....You get the picture. Scheeez, if I had wanted it to be all about babies, I would have stayed home! Any guesses on what movie they picked? Anyone? Come on...you know....Yes, The Nanny Diaries! Of course, because if I am not at dinner talking about child raising, I want to be at a movie about child raising. I mean will somebody please pass me a shot! What ever, it was a good movie, but I would have rather had a drink in my hand, while loud music is blaring, and I am dancing on a table (I don't get out much, and I was wearing my Seven jeans fer Chris'sake). I think I need to make some new friends...I don't know...What do you think?
