Great Blog Design Resources

What a whirlwind! Currently, I am in process mode from Blogher '11...it was the best of times...it was the worst of times...

OK, not really the worst of times...but there were some odd moments...again...processing.

I hear The Little Man downstairs yelling "Your stupid little fairies...!" followed by Miss Peach screeching "No, your stupid little cars...!"

Which tells me I haven't much time to get to the bottom of this post...so...

Here is the quick resource list from the Great Blog Design presentation given with the great (and I can't say enough good things about Miss Jill) Scary Mommy (who in my opinion has the best logo in the business)...

Blogs We Love: (all the blogs showcased in the presentation)

Now, if you will excuse me...I have to go break up a turf war between the Fairies and the Hot Wheels cars:O

  1. So glad I found this post! I can't wait to check out the resources. Maybe I can go to blogher one day. :) Now I'm off to blow up my browers by opening a ton of new tabs. Thanks

  2. Your session was amazing! Thanks for being a speaker. I've already sent you an e-mail about tackling my blog redesign. :)

  3. So, I feel really horrible because I couldn't go to your session, because there was a session at the exact same time on freelance editorial work, and since that is my paying day job I figured I should go. But that session was TOTALLY USELESS (turns out "freelance editorial work" = freelance writing, whereas I am an actual editor who edits things), whereas I heard your session was awesome!

I, too, thought there were some really weird moments at BlogHer, though I'm assuming they weren't really the same exact moments as the ones you had. I think, on the whole, most people were so nice and fun, but there are a few people in the blogging community (as in all communities) who are SO ANNOYING. I just hate that networking shit, you know?

Anyway, I'm still in processing mode, too, because that thing was so overwhelming.

  6. Thanks for the mention. I was shocked when I introduced myself to a blogger and she said she'd heard of Reluctant Renovator, a big surprise since it's a fairly new blog. When I handed her my card, she said she'd seen my fab logo at your session. I feel famous.

BlogHer always has some weird moments! See you at Bloggy Boot Camp. Small and sane- I hope.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. The knowledge and chemistry between you and Jill was amazing! I enjoyed your session so much that I did not want it to end!

Thanks for putting up all the links you mentioned.

You gals ran one of the better sessions I went to. So THANK YOU!

  8. I am just NOW getting to my BlogHer recap! Your session was so full of energy and I'm here to link back to you! I had no idea you were form Chicago too (I don't come across too many Chicago bloggers). Thanks again for the helpful session and resource list!
