Just Because (fun with Journey)

I was sitting, drying my hair at the health club today...when a girl walked by me. I could hear Don't Stop Believing blaring on her Ipod. Can I tell you...it was all I could do, not to hop up on my chair and bust out that song (loudly and badly).

Back when I was an obnoxious high school girl, my older brother would cruise me around in his red Pontiac Fiero (which was at the time, a really cool car nicknamed the fiery O). Anytime we would come to a stop at a streetlight...I would CRANK whatever cheesy song was on the radio, and bust. it. OUT. For some odd reason, bad Whitney Houstan songs come to mind (I Wanna Dance With Somebody, for example). Anyway, I did this just to embarrass him.

I don't bust out songs so much anymore...unless I'm on the ski slopes. Then, I'm right back to loudly, and badly belting out songs (as if Vail was my own personal karaoke bar).

So...in the spirit of older brothers, ski slopes, and vlogging...Here ya' go...

I guess you can say that Photo Booth and I have made up;P (Is it sad that I crack myself up...I need friends)

  4. Aww, good ol' Journey.

Yep, I'd have trouble not busting out, too.

I think what sucks though is when music that make you want to sing out loud is being played in the grocery store. I find myself pulling a "my mother" & humming along as I'm shopping. Hey, another chance to embaress the kids!

  5. LOL!

The only reason why I don't bust out is because I'd hurt people's ears with my off key singing.

  9. Oh, the memories that brought back. On the 10 day drive to Alaska with no radio in the car and only a carry-along tape player (no CDs back then) this was one of the few cassettes we had with us. Wow. I still love the song.

  10. You are so funny.

I will be in Chicago for 2 weeks starting on the 26th of June and wanted to take the kids to the OZ park. Wanna have a playdate? I like mornings and then we can even go out for lunch. Email me and let's get something on the calendar.

  11. Oh, the red Fiero. I wanted one so desperately when I was 13! Back then, if I'd been in a red Fiero with Don't Stop Believing blaring out of the radio, I would have thought I was the coolest thing ever.

  17. hahahahaa-no, you, plural, not singular (I guess it did sound like that!). I should have put "It's so embarrassing to watch, people get really uncomfortable, which makes it funny."
I was basically just saying what others wrote when they said that you were brave to post that! ;D
