Proof

OK, I'm thinking after yesterday's post, you all are thinking I live in a clean minimalist paradise. Not exactly true:P I really strive for minimalism. That said, many days, our place looks like a bomb went off! Here is the living room on a good day. I don't like the colors, but I don't have time to paint...so for now, the color stays:P
Same room, different angle. I do love this room. I like furniture where you can see the floor under it (as long as nothing is there). I also LOVE the coffee table:) I think that's Ellen on the TV (showing a large man dancing)...I watch that when I blog design...(Ellen, not really large men dancing)
Just to prove, I'm not a total tightwad...here is the basement. Husband is a book junky. I let him have the built in (see...I can bend). Notice the stickers on the patio window...those things are like a virus...I just can't get rid of 'em!

On a totally unrelated note...am I the only one who watched I'm a Celebrity...blah, blah, blah? What a train wreck that show was:P Like if Fear Factor and Survivor had a really boring baby...pointless...

  4. I didn't personally watch that show but was chatting with someone who's wife was - his comments were hilarious:

"Dear god, this "I'm a celebrity, get me out of here" show will MAKE me DRIVE to Hollywood and KILL everyone"

"Aight now I'm DEFINITELY driving to Hollyweird"

So, I didn't watch the show but I had a fun time watching someone else watch the show. Living vicariously is so much easier with the internet.

  7. OMG. Are your kids allowed in that room?!? I TRY to keep one room toy-free, but they always migrate into my "clean" space anyway.

  9. Are you sure you have children? ;) Except for the stickers, which are a pain in the a** to get rid of, your house is so neat and tidy! Meanwhile, my home looks like a daycare centre!

  10. I wish we could go more minimal. I may make it a goal. (We do like art and photos of the kids, so my walls will never be minimalist. But wall stuff isn't UNDER MY FEET!)

  11. I love the idea of minimalism...but have such a hard time practicing it. I have too many hobbies, and not enough storage space. sigh....

  13. Okay, I want your living room.

And yes, I did watch I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here. I think I've been traumatized but I still watched again tonight.

  14. I did watch I'm A Celebrity on Monday and Tuesday. Now that the Pratt's are gone though it won't be as much fun...I can't wait to see what Joel McHale is going to have to say about them on The Soup.

And I'm like you - I prefer less is more in the decorating department. Plus, it means less to clean around!

  15. Okay, your home is incredibly clean and uncluttered. And very well decorated :) I LOVE the coffee table!

I hear you on the stickers though. They multiply like bacteria.
