You know my last house post...about the mini Versailles? I honestly thought that was the biggest house in the 'hood. Well...I was wrong...'cause this is the biggest house I've ever friggin' seen:O
Now...I need to freak you out here. I, through a friend of a friend, know (no, I've never met them) the family moving in here. Can I tell you how many people are living here? Guess...
Six? Four?
Nope....
TWO!
Two people are moving into the White House of Chicago:O
People talkitty, talk, talk, talk when a behemoth like this goes up (they've been building it for four years!)
I've heard that the busts built into the exterior were made in the likeness of the family.
Ummmm....that's when you know, you have too much money:/
I don't know why I'm so in awe of the big homes...really I don't.
I can tell you, I'll go a block or two out of my way when I'm bopping about town just to look at these big dawgs.
It's like having a dinosaur on the street, you gotta go take a peek...what recession, eh;P

Wow. Be sure that my home is nothing like that. We have 5 here and I'll bet our home is happier.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you found me out. We move in Saturday. And the busts are were totally my husbands idea.
ReplyDeleteAlright, so I lie. But how cool is that?
That is crazy. When I was a kid, we lived just next to the really rich part of town. Ours wad just fine, nothing to be ashamed of, but compared to the homes in the adjacent neighborhood, they were wee little cottages. We used to drive through just to ogle them. Also, I went to school with the kids from there. It was wild. I just can't imagine living in a house that big.
ReplyDeleteThat is one HUGE house!
ReplyDeleteWow, I do like what I see but that is huge. I imagine it has a staff too..
ReplyDeleteKeep us informed... lol
That's the kind of house where you need a map to find a bathroom. Maybe the busts are equipped with GPS?
ReplyDeleteThat looks more like an apartment building then it does a single family home! that is craziness.
ReplyDeleteYou have got to quit putting pics of my houses up on the internet. Geesh!
ReplyDeleteI still remember living in a small condo on Lill Street and watching in awe as a family tore down another 6-unit building like ours and built up a single family home. I was there when their toilets were delivered...all SEVEN of them.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe that's ONE RESIDENCE. Wow, it looks like the court house in our town. Amazing.
ReplyDeleteNo way. Wow. Two people in that much space? They must hate each other!
ReplyDeleteTWO?? I'd love to take a peek inside.
ReplyDeletemy goodness, maybe the wifey is pregnant with sextuplets. I can't imagine living on one of the floors not to mention the whole place. It's kind of creepy.
ReplyDeleteI hope they have scooters to get around, because that's some serious distance to cover to get from one side to the other!
