"Mommy" he said.
"Yes Sweetie" I replied.
"What should I be when I grow up?"
I stood there looking into his sweet little brown eyes, and I knew exactly what he should be. Now, I don't believe in pushing your kiddo in one direction or another. If I did, they would be on the tennis court 24/7, and I would be well on my way to Wimbledon. (Truth be told, we tried tennis, and it was an epic bomb:/)
Anyway...I looked at my Little Man, who spends every waking moment, every breath, every thought in his head about cars...and I said, "You should be a car designer."
His eyes lit up. "People do that?!?"
"Of course people do that. Who do you think designs all the cars you see on the road?"
I turned off the light, and left his room.
Not ten minutes later, he came bounding down the stairs with his newest Lego creation.
"Mommy, I'm practicing designing cars...I did pretty good, huh!?!"
Pretty good indeed;)
