My Little Male Chauvinist

Little Man: "Mommy, can you build train tracks with me?"
Me: "Yes, I can...." (I then proceed to rock that train track...Little Man was totally impressed, so was I!)
Little Man: "Mommy, can you help me put the trains on the track?"

Me: "Yes, I can..."
(Little Man proceeds to drive the train all around the track...)

Me: "Do you need any help driving the train?"
Little Man: "No Mommy, girls can't drive trains...only boys can."

Hmmmmph...gonna have to work on that little opinion:/

  1. Ha! Sounds like something a male would say. We can help do the work, but not reap the reward!

    Too cute.

  4. Interesting he let you build it but not drive it... You must show him how awesome you are at driving those trains as well..

    He's a cutie btw.

  5. Guess you'll just have to show him you can wear the conductor overalls, too! It's so interesting where/how their little minds pick up on society's nuances about gender, no matter how much we try to keep it neutral or equal.

  6. I'm pretty sure his hidden meaning was more like, "thanks for the help, but I'll do the fun part!"

  7. Oh, he'll learn. It may be the hard way, but he'll learn.

  9. Reminds me of when my daughter told me that "mommies don't drive cars." I'm like, "Oh, really?!"
