I received something in the mail over the weekend that is so lovely, I must share it:)Let me back up a piece...remember Cupcake, the bloggy retreat I went to? Well, I met this wonderful woman who is a designer of a different kind.
She turns blogs into books. I gotta say, whenever I heard "blogs into books" I automatically thought...publishers/writers...I'm not interested in that...but I was wrong.
Actually, you can have your blog turned into a book. Just because you want to. It's like having your own little documentation of your life.I had the first year of my blog turned into a book...and it's marvelous!
If you ever have any question about why you blog...turn your blog into a book. It is such a sweet, fun walk down memory lane. I'm so glad to have this...I didn't think I could love blogging more, but this experience has done it for me:)
I'm a designer, but print was a bit out of my element. If you are interested, I highly recommend that you contact Carrie. She really knows her stuff, and it was such a pleasure working with her. This is not a commercial;) You all know by now, when I find something I like, I share it with you. Well...I found something I like...and I'm sharing it with you:)

Wow! This would be a good gift idea for friends or family who blog, too. How much input did you have on the colors/layout/design?
ReplyDeleteThat's so cool! What a great twist on a baby memory book :-)
ReplyDeleteActually, I had complete control. I designed the book cover, and then she reworked it and made it better:)
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I was just thinking, "I wonder who could tell me how to go about getting my blog posts turned into a coffee-table type book." Really. Hooray!
ReplyDeleteLooks awesome. I'm totally jealous.
ReplyDeleteObligatory comment about how neat the book is, but now the real reason for the comment: I cannot frickin' wait for LOST! Abc.com now has a preview up. Awesome! I love that by the end of May we will have all the answers we will ever get. But I hate that it will all be over by the end of May.
ReplyDelete(And the book is actually really cool as something you will someday be able to share with the kids who are such a big part of it.)
That's lovely, and something I've been thinking about doing...
ReplyDeleteIt turned out great! She is amazing and seriously quick! Speaking of amazing...I love what you've done on Heather's blog. Looks great!
ReplyDeleteThat looks awesome! I want one, I want one! And, yeah about Lost!! Can't wait!!
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteI don't watch Lost but I want one of those books..big time.
ReplyDeleteThanks NW
Very cool! I would love to have one of these with all my posts about the kids one day.
ReplyDeleteThat looks so awesome! We had looked into doing something like that. In fact, there was some software that you can download and create a book with it and then the company will print it for you. It seems like a really good idea except then I had to go through and edit each page. Fit the pictures just right. It was a pain. I only made it through the first couple of months and abandoned it. This sounds WAY easier.
ReplyDeletePS - Can you be ready to be the Blogtrotter of the day next Tuesday??
PPS - LOST!!! SQUEEEEE!
ReplyDeleteOh! I WANT THAT. Must send this to family for a birthday or Christmas idea for me... MUST. Remind me, PLEASE?!?
ReplyDeleteI am actually in the process of doing this with my other blog that I recently killed. But, I have so many slideshows on it, I have to do it manually myself.
ReplyDeleteSorry, I got distracted by LOST! Tonight!
ReplyDeleteI so love this idea. I have always said that I blog to keep memories for the girls when they get older. I need to have her make two copies of the book -- one for each girl -- as soon as I get enough content.
ReplyDeleteLost - woo woo!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, that book is great. What a wonderful idea.
That is very cool. I keep thinking about doing it.
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to do this!
ReplyDeleteHowever, there are some posts that I'm unsure about.
I would love to do this one day.
Just so you know, you can totally pick and choose which posts you want to include:)
ReplyDeleteWow, that is awesome! I would love to have my blog made into a book someday- what a cool momento!
ReplyDeleteCraziness...this was my business plan for 5 years from now. Looks like I'm not the only one thinking of this, huh?
