Heaven in a Bottle

I don't have many vices...don't drink alcohol (much)...don't smoke (at all)...don't eat junk food (much). In my book, I have one vice...an you're lookin' at it.

Oh Coke...I wish I knew how to quit you.

Did'ja ever notice that if you go out of The United States...Coke tastes better? I have, it does. I know why Coke replaced sugar with high fructose corn syrup, and why they stopped selling in the glass bottles...one word...money.

That said, are you with me on this? Coke tastes better in a cold glass bottle, made with good ole sugar:P

I had a tough week with the kiddos. We are talking up every night with one of them...coupled with rare nap times. I've just been one tired Mama! Husband did a Costco run...and what did he come back with?

A case of Mexican Coke:P I. AM. IN. HEAVEN! He knows me so well...I'm keeping him:)

  3. Sorry you have had a rough few days with the kids... it's never that peaceful at our place throughout the night, either... :(
You are so right - coke tastes soo much better in a glass bottle! I love it, mmmm! My favourite drink is Orange Fanta but only in Greece - in a glass bottle. The Fanta's they have here (Canada, USA) are just NOT the same!

  4. I recently had a come to jesus meeting with my husband about how much I spend on Coke. Over thirty dollars a month! That's like a gym membership. So I'm soul searching trying to figure out how to quit Coke. Or at least reduce it significantly.

  5. Did you know that Pepsi just came out with Pepsi & Mountain Dew "throwback" - versions of the soda made with real sugar instead of corn syrup. I haven't had the Pepsi but the Mountain Dew tasted different and I thought it was better.

  6. You remind me of my husband!! He's a coca-cola addict, but he actually just quit!! He quit smoking and along with it he gave up soda, he keeps complaining of running out of things to drink though!

  7. I had no idea Coke was different elsewhere. I am all about the Coca Cola. I can't drink anything else. (Soda, that is. I drink plenty of other drinks. ;-) In fact, all my vices are drinks. Interesting.)

  14. Mmmmm...Coke. Maybe if I ran, too, I could drink Coke.

Okay, who am I kidding? I don't run, but I still drink Coke. Not all the time. But sometimes.

My favorite - by FAR - is McDonald's Coke. There's just something special about it.

  15. I love Coke. If you're lucky, at the right time of year, you can find US made Coke with sugar - Kosher for Passover. But it's hit & miss and sells out quickly.
