Gordon Ramsey...I am Not.

My pal AFF has been writing a bit about her talent in the kitchen *ahem*. I let it slip about how brilliant I can be when it comes to the chef hat...Without further ado, I give you...How I got my pizza scar. (It's quick and stupid) I had just gotten back into my pre pregnancy jeans after baby number two. I was wearing low riders, and my tummy was just peaking out. Husband was out of town, so I was making pizza for the kiddos and I. Now, when I make frozen pizza, I bake it on a cookie sheet. Normal...right? Well, I couldn't find a pot holder so I took the pizza out with a dish rag...hot! So, I was trying to cut the pizza with one hand without touching the cookie sheet...Needless to say, the whole thing slid right into my little bit of exposed tummy, and I got a huge burn just above my low rider jeans. This was over a year ago, and I still have a lovely scar to remind me of my talents in the kitchen. (ordinarily, I would show you a picture, but I can't bear to show my abs again *scroll down*). So there it is AFF, my lovely pizza scar, sad I know! Now, moving on...
I've been quite busy at NW Designs....Go check it out...I'd love to help you build a better blog! *shameless plug, I know*

  3. Ok, do you really put a pizza on a cookie sheet? Never seen that before. Either technique, I've done the same thing myself. A scar on the wrist.

So I guess that means we must put safety first and ORDER the pizza, right? :)

  4. I was thinking the same thing! HA! That's okay. You were brave enough to put an ab pic up...period. Which is better than me!

And, you as Gordon! I am so glad I told you to do that. It's CLASSIC!!

Now I'm going to have to tell how my thumb got a muffin top.

The pizza will be crisper if you cook it straight on the rack, FYI :-)
If I had your abs, I would have them as my avatar :-) LOL.

I'll leave the blog design to you and the others :-)

  11. I have a pizza stone that lives in my oven. Literally it lives there because I haven't taken it out since I first put it in there. Why? Because I only think of it when it's hot and there's no way I could get it out without burning the crud out of myself.

  16. Pizza-making left you scarred? Never mind - whenever you and The Clan want great pizza, just come round to my place. My pizzas are pretty darn good .....

And I have my wife's permission and my kids' permission to say that!!

  17. I love your designs over at NW. Good work.

That is the most unusual scar I have ever heard of. There is something very unjust about an tummy scar on a woman who has sacrificed her abs to having babies.
(I'm a just a little bitter about my appendectomy scar)

  21. I burn myself all the time in the kitchen - usually on something that comes out of the microwave. =)
Thanks for stopping by my place on a non-haiku day. And FWIW - it took me forever to figure out what FWIW stands for. =)
