Who Ya Rootin' For?

I am not a football fan. That means, I don't have a team, my team. I just love football during the playoffs! I love it! Now, it's time for a little known Nap Warden fact. I play some mean football. You heard me right. I was a tomboy growing up, so I played football with the boys a lot. I was the girl that got picked before most of the guys. Now, since I'm so little, I usually played quarter back. This means not only can I throw a mean spiral, but I can also hit my target...now you know. The first time husband saw me throw a football, he and his buddy were shocked. I believe the words "she's got a cannon!" were uttered! I just can't wait to sit in front of my new HD TV (George), make a mean ole mess'o chili, and watch the Superbowl! For the record, and don't tell anybody I told you, but I'm kinda rootin' for Green Bay.I mean look at this guy...cutie! I just think our boy Brett doesn't have to many games left, and it would be nice to see him go out on top. What do you think? Who ya' rootin for, and what are you makin' for the Superbowl?

  1. Don't get me started. I (think) you know I'm a native so obviously we pick the pack. And now, we're not that FAVRE away from the bowl!

    Brett totally melts my butter.

  4. NW -

I am impressed with your football prowess...but not surprised :)

As far as the remaining teams go...once my beloved Bears are gone...and that was in week 6 or so this year...I don't care...I just root for an exciting game.

I would love to see the Pack play the Patriots...that would be cool!

  7. i'm so NOT a football fan...nothing about it, is appealing to me. i've tried!! really! i've suffered through season tickets to the lions...i'm in the detroit area, gone to numerous u of m games...and, i've never enjoyed it. now...basketball, on the otherhand...i love. i could go and watch a basketball game, any day of the week. but, don't ask me about who is on the pistons...because i'm liable to list the line-up from the 80's!!!
    have a great day!

  8. Sure I'm for Green Bay. Who are they playing?

Brett is a cutie and it would be great if he went out a winner. I just hope he does actually retire after this!

There will be no Super Bowl parties at my house though....the boys will be at there Dad's...but I am sure he will have some festivities..they eat, sleep, breathe football...

  11. Since my black and gold blood was drained from my body WAY too early and then the Colts proceeded to choke too early, I am cheering for the Packers. Well, OK, really I'm cheering for anybody but the Devil's team, otherwise known as NE, but it would rock if Brett went out on top.

  12. Did somebody mention football? It's not like I'm a fan or anything! :)

I love that you rock the ball. Shockingly, I was the powder puff QB. I did trick plays. I can (or could last I checked) throw a perfect spiral under my leg.

I have been hoping for a Packer/Patriot SB. AND, for all that is holy, the Packers better win!

  14. I was rooting for the Colts...until they lost.

I suppose my allegiance will shift over to Brett and the Packers.

  20. Now I know we have a lot in common. I also grew up a little bit of a tomboy...my dad really wanted a boy but didn't get one until I was six...so I was his "boy". We still talk sports and watch them together...long distance...meaning we call each other when our teams are playing to discuss how they're doing. LOL!I can throw a mean spiral as well and was the QB of my powder puff teams in HS and college. So girls rule..boys drool as I tell ny 9 yr. old daughter! Being a Texas girl, I've always been a Cowboys fan. But since they're out of it now, and Brett is a southern boy who's just too darn cute...oh, and Tom Brady leaving his preggers girlfriend (ok...I know supposedly he didn't know till after they broke up, but still...not sexy)...so I'm totally rooting for the Packers!

and that's all I have to say about that. :-)

  22. Oh my goodness that's so funny. I grew up like that too! I love College Football, but I like NFL right now since College is over...I'm sick of the Patriots though. I just can't get over Tom Brady leaving Bridget Moynahan for Giselle B. after knowing she was pregnant. And yeah, I know that's pretty much irrelevant.
