After last weeks treat-fest, I thought I should share my park workout with you all. Kinda balance the yummy with the workout! I take the kiddos to a little fenced in park by our aptartment. They play while Mommy works out. The nannies usually look at me like I am nuts. So what, it keeps me in my jeans, and you know how I loves me jeans!
1) squats- 3 sets of 20
2) walking lunges-3 sets of 20
3) step ups-3 sets of ten on each leg
4) calf lifts-3 sets of 15
5) pull ups-I can do four, I'm working on getting that number up.
6) push ups-3 sets of 10
7) park bench dips-3 sets of 10
8) v-sit abs-3 sets of 20
9) plie squats-3 sets of 20
10) one leg dead lift-3 sets of 10
11) single leg squats-3 sets of 10 on each leg
12) power walk-30-60 min.

I need to start a regular routine. For the most part, I just take walks each evening to get my exercise.
ReplyDeleteThis is inspiring. I'm off for a run!!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea to work out while your children play. I just sit on my butt and watch. It is probably why I look like Mrs. Potato Head and you look great! :)
ReplyDeletePfew, I'm getting tired just reading this list! ;-) Good for you though!
ReplyDeleteMy TT lists 13 facts about the black panther.
They're just jealous. You do whatever you have to do to stay in those jeans. Have a great TT. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd here I am talking about cupcakes in my post today...
ReplyDeleteDarn you for setting a good example! Sheesh. :)
A plie squat would do me in. Hats off to you and your fitness regime!
ReplyDeleteyou. go. girl. Are you a size 0 or a size 2 with all that working out? :)
ReplyDeleteI've done similar park workouts when I don't have a toddler to worry about. Happy TT!
ReplyDeleteReading that, all of a sudden I feel very old!

you're my idol! I JUST talked about exercising in my post before the T13 and how I was embarrassed. Man I wish I had your attitude!!!
ReplyDeleteNice counterbalance to last week's TT. Those nannies are probably just haters... you are right to ignore them.
ReplyDeleteI'm truly impressed with your dedication.
ReplyDeleteYou go, girl!!! Wow, that's a great workout you're doing! Don't forget to vary it to avoid muscle memory and all that...
ReplyDeleteHappy TT!
I used to do workouts at the playground when my oldest daughter was little. Now she is 16, and the little one is 4, I lost of bit of my determination - but you are such an inspiration.
ReplyDeleteWow, how do you find the time. Good for you!
ReplyDeletethat is great! i want time to exercice more!!!
ReplyDeleteGood for you....I usually work out a little extra at the gym or walk 2 miles instead of one:) Happy TT.
ReplyDeleteWow! I should follow your example. Or at least take the clothes off my treadmill and hop on for a while.
ReplyDeleteYep - sounds just like my boot camp that I go to. You rock!
ReplyDeleteGreat post! Good for you for making the effort! I LOVE the gym so I know it's hard to stay motivated when you are on your own. YEA!!
ReplyDeleteOh man, that rocks! Good for you :-)

You go, girl! I used to be able to do all of this! Well, most of it, anyway!
ReplyDeleteWTG!
Good for you! I just started at Curves so it is quite a challenge for me starting from scratch. But, I must stay positive and remember that at least I am doing SOMETHING!
ReplyDeleteermmm, ummm,,, I am not even sure what half of those are....
ReplyDeleteI am out of the loop....
squat...something I do on the toilet. no where near that often!
walking lunges...ermm. clueless.
step ups on one leg? How can you step up on a leg?
I couldn't pick up a calf! I would have to find a farmer and mother cow that would allow such a thing. Pick her up 15 times! She would bleet her arse off!!! probably kick me too!
Oh never mind...tee hee....
Terrific Thursday Thirteen!
My TT is posted.
Have a wonderful day!
Happy TT'ing!

ReplyDeleteI wish we could go to the park together; you'd soooo motivate me!!

ReplyDeleteMy knees won't handle the squats anymore. If I get down it will take paramedics to assit me getting back up.
ReplyDeleteGreat list!
ReplyDeletegood for you, keep it up!
ReplyDeletehey girl that is an awesome workout! i like to bring some resistance bands with me and do some upper body work too! its fun for you and the kids!
ReplyDeleteI go to the gym on alternate days but I think I need a list like yours. FIRST, I'll have to find out what some of them are. Thanks for this.
ReplyDeleteOK so does lifting coffee in the morning count as exercise? It is the extra large mug....
ReplyDeleteGreat use of time, for sure.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to skip my workout today because of a family commitment, and now I feel even worse about it. *sigh*
That's a great idea and a wonderful way to make use of your time at the park! I so need to start exercising more...
ReplyDeleteAnd...to think that I would like to just be able to take an evening walk!
ReplyDeleteGO YOU for being able to work out like that!
And...by the way...I just found your blog...hope that you'll visit my blog as well and say hello! =-)
I'm with tink; tired just reading your post! LOL
ReplyDeleteGreat TT, and Happy Thanksgiving.
Wow. Just wow.
ReplyDeleteIt almost makes me want to work out.....almost.
ReplyDeleteWhew! I worked up a sweat.
ReplyDelete-HH
Hmmm, time to get back to the Y...

I feel so lazy after reading this! LOL! You go girl!
ReplyDeleteYou lost me at squats :)
ReplyDeleteBradley
The Egel Nest
That's great! I like to work out during the day too (in the house) ....and Cameron looks at me like I'm nuts. I jog at night with the dog, and I just do different things during the day like free weights, The Firm video, or just pushups and crunches. If anything, it at least makes me feel energized! I doubt I could do a pullup. Four pullups is really impressive! I remember in Junior High just trying to hold myself up on the bar...and shaking like a leaf.LOL
ReplyDeleteThat is a great idea and use of your time! You go girl!
ReplyDeleteWhat are you talkin' about ... oh, excercise - not interested! Good for you though. See ya.
ReplyDeleteWay to go mom! What a gr8 list...I just did my workout. Funny how my hormones won't allow the excess fat to come off. And I can't get into my jeans. Oh well.
ReplyDeleteThere - you've shamed us all! You're all ready for ski season now - and you'll be so fit you'll be power-skiing uphill!!!
ReplyDeleteI feel like I'm watching how never to have to be on Biggest Loser. Way to go with staying in your jeans!!
ReplyDeletehttp://happywonderer.wordpress.com/2007/11/14/thursday-thirteen-9-libraries/
Good for you---way to get two tasks done for the price of one.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your photoshop pen drawing. What's wrong with it??? It's adorable.
http://bucknakedpolitics.typepad.com
Damn woman! You rock.
ReplyDeleteWhen might you do a TT on best South Park episodes
ReplyDeleteWow, that would be good, but hard to do...I haven't been watching the recent ones...Suggestions?
ReplyDeleteThis is a great list. What's even better is that all of the exercises can be done in the comfort of your own home. Even the power walk can be done in place with a bit of extra arm pumping. This would be perfect while watching your evening show or watching the kiddos in the play room. We're getting ready for a trip to my parent's home. 16 hours in the car! This is great for breaks while the kids play. Great Job.
