Defying Gravity

I have started running again...slowly. In a nutshell, I've been concentrating on work so much, I kinda let the running slide.

I've now committed to three days a week, and it's going good. I. Enjoy. Running...and I have to remember that.

I was cruising down the lakefront path listening to Slacker Radio, Glee channel (yes, I'm a HUGE dork)...that song from that musical, that I can't remember about before the witch became the wicked witch of the west from OZ...what was that...WICKED! That's what it was!

Anyway...that song Defying Gravity is an AWESOME song to run to:

"Something has changed within me
Something is not the same
I'm through with playing by the rules Of someone else's game
Too late for second-guessing
Too late to go back to sleep
It's time to trust my instincts
Close my eyes: and leap!"

I just love this song...and like a big dork...my pace quickened...and between you and me...I think right about here...

"It's time to try Defying gravity
I think I'll try Defying gravity
And you can't pull me down!"

...just for a moment...my feet left the ground. I was just flying down the running path, and it was fantastic! No weight, no stress...just soaring. Don't tell anyone, 'cause I know I sound like a big dork.

I was in no shape to be flying this fast down the path, but I did...for the whole song...

Then Red Solo Cup came on...and that's a bit harder to run to;P
