iphone 4s, or Droid Bionic?

OK...I am finally bailing on the 900 year old Blackberry. I'm bailing on Blackberry altogether.

The only reason I haven't jumped ship is...I can't decide between the Droid, and the iphone. I know it's lame...and I think...I'm finally leaning to iphone...for no good reason, other than the fact I love me some Mac.

I used to not want the iphone because the camera was only 5 mega pixels...well, the 4s is 8.

I lean towards the Droid, because I hear the 4g from Verizon is super fast...but do I need super fast?

All I really want from my phone is Slacker Radio, Pandora, Twitter, Facebook (you know...basic smart phone stuff) and a rocking camera with fun Photoshopish apps.

Between you and me...I'm TIRED of thinking about it...and I'm tired of my Blackberry. Which is better...enlighten me...

  1. I love my iPhone. Have for years. I spend most of my life near wifi so phone data never really matters. Have any questions, let me know.

  2. The iPhone is very, very cool. But so is the Droid. The latest iteration of Android is VERY nice and it's getting to the point that differentiating between the two systems is becoming very difficult - based on operating systems.

iPhone has more Apps. That gap is closing.

Droid has 4g. I does make a difference. ESPECIALLY if you're out somewhere, you need to use your computer, and there's no accessible WiFi. Android systems can be used as a WiFi hotspot, and with 4g being 10 times faster than 3g - that can make a BIG difference.

  3. The biggest benefit for me (and why I'm switching from Android to iPhone) is the Cloud network that I'll be able to automatically sync my photos/music/documents/contacts/calendar, etc from my phone to my computer. (I'm sure there's an android version of this, but I haven't found one that I like so far.)

  4. Meh. Neither is better. They both get the job done. However, I found that when I picked up a Droid and played with it for a few minutes and then picked up an iPhone and played with it for a few minutes, I had a favorite.

  5. My husband has a Droid and I have an iPhone (both through Verizon). I love my iPhone mostly because I have some favorite apps that are not available for the Droid. However, for your preferences/uses I think you might like the Droid better.

  6. iPhone! Droids should be called "not the iPhone".

  7. I had an iPhone for two years. Switched to a Droid, HTC Inspire because at the time everyone told me it was a "better" phone. I don't think so. It crashes, seems to always have something running no matter what I do and the battery is always letting me down. I think ht iPhone has better photo apps and I find them easier to use. I miss my iPhone and plan to get the new 4Gs as soon as possible. Just my two cents.

  8. iPhone, why buy an impostor? The original is brilliant. My 4 has a kick ass camera, I can't imagine what the new one is like.

  9. I'm ready to kick my Crackberry to the curb too, and I am in the same boat. I think I want the iPhone so I can keep it synched with my iPad and desktop, but I am also enticed by the Droid. I think you can get the iPhone on Verizon now, can't you?

  11. I just got the 4S. I didn't think I could love a phone more than my old iPhone, but I do. It is fabulous. I can't say that the Droid isn't just as good, I've heard nice things and my husband keeps threatening to switch, but I can say that the iPhone will do everything you want very, very well.
