I feel like I'm carrying a plate of spaghetti, and life came up and smacked the bottom. There are noodles flying everywhere!
This new preschool schedule for Miss Peach is kicking my a**!
I plunk the kiddos in the stroller, we hustle about 20 min. to school, drop her off...then I head out to play with The Little Man.
Little Man and I come home, I beg him to eat something other then "oh's" for lunchies, then I bribe him into nap time (yes, I bribe...I'm not proud, anything I can do to get kiddos to nap is a win in my book)
The way it's been going, right about the time The Little Man gets down, I have to wake him up to head back out on the march to pick Miss Peach up.
Press repeat Mon-Friday, and you have my schedule. It's been really hard to find the groove, ya know?
Oh, congrats to BurghBaby! You win the Prima Princessa Nutcracker DVD! Yay!!!

yeah I'm with you - I'm a bit wack-a-doodle right now too! Bring summer relaxation back!
ReplyDeleteWhen it comes to nap time, I will offer almost any bribe. I'm not that proud of it, but I'm not that ashamed either!
ReplyDeleteSorry your new schedule is like messy spaghetti. Things are hectic around here too.
This morning, I settled my little one down for a morning nap while the big guy was at school. I paused to consider how to spend my free time. Then, I happened to check my planner and realized the little one had a check-up scheduled for that morning. So, ten minutes into his nap, I had to wake him to pack up and go. Felt sorry for him and for myself!
Hang in there!
Naps are sacrosanct around here. I would do ANYTHING to not wake her up.
ReplyDeletePossibly irrelevant, but i love spaghetti. And noodles....
ReplyDeleteThe only naps immportant in my house any more are mine lol...
ReplyDeleteThat's the reason that I can't get my 4 year old to take naps anymore. By the time I get him down school let's out for the 7 year old and it's back up again. I feel your pain!
ReplyDeletegrove? Whatsa grove? I feel for you - I'm groveless right now too.
ReplyDeleteI hear you! I'm still trying to find my groove and I have zero kids at home during the school day. It's been two years now. I think my groove went to find a more exciting family to live with.
ReplyDeleteIt is not easy trying to find that perfect balance... it can be really tough.
ReplyDeleteI have so been there! My youngest is at the stage where he has almost given up napping -- this is making life a whole lot easier!
ReplyDeleteWoooooooohoooooooooo!
ReplyDeleteI am having a hard time with my hustle and bustle too! I bribe my kids all the time.
ReplyDeleteOh gosh... I don't miss that at all. I have both of mine on the same MDO schedule this year, so I get heavenly silence 8 hours out of my week!!!! Next year... let's just not even talk about next year's schedule. I'll just have to cherish these 9 months.
ReplyDeleteOh it's okay, I totally bribe my kids sometimes.
ReplyDeleteMight I recommend asking for MORNING kindergarten? I swear that afternoon school is horrible. I have never found it to work for my family.
ReplyDeleteThis is a wretched time of life. No ones schedules synch and it's just chaos. The only thing that solves it is time.
ReplyDeleteThat is my schedule too. Except I drop off two older kids in the morning and then drop of the afternoon junior kindergartener but I am thinking of homeschooling.
ReplyDeletefinding grooves in new skeds is super sucktastic. but i think i finally have mine!! which is great!! (except people like to add to my schedule!!! haters! the lot of them!!)
ReplyDeleteYou sound completely exhausted with that schedule! Don't worry about the bribery....I think everyone does it.
ReplyDeleteI bribe every day. No shame here.
ReplyDeleteI hope you find your groove. Good luck.
I'm hating the "groundhog day" like weeks I've been having too. ((hugs)) Hope you find your groove soon!
ReplyDeleteA nap is definitely a win. Shame it's too short! You'll find the groove again.
ReplyDeleteLet me buy you a drink. ;-)
