Chocolate Overload

Who would have thought that this innocent little bunny could inflict so much trouble? I try to be good...I do. I try to keep the candy in moderation at our house. I'll be the first to admit...I have a bit of a weakness (total lack of willpower) for chocolate. Seriously, who doesn't? C'mon...you know you do!

My kiddos and I ate so much chocolate eggies, and bunnies, and jelly beans...I am sitting here disgusted with myself (While I'm thinking about raiding their baskets one more time, somebody stop me!) Let's face it, you can't (or at least I can't) give them a basket full of candy, and then ration it out to them. It seems to me, that is an equation for an ugly battle. I just let them eat, and eat, and eat, and eat...You get the picture.

All in all, the kiddos were pretty good (considering they ate a ton of candy today). The Little Man actually crashed out on the kitchen floor at Grandma's house, amidst all of the cooking and eating. You know he woke up with a second wind and kept right on eating:P Go Little Man!

I have soooo much to update you on...but I am exhausted. I have finally got a couple of artists to bite on contributing to the Stock site (Yay!) I am supposed to be scheduling a meeting (finally) with the design school to screen some student candidates for the site (again Yay!)...No, I didn't get out to buy makeup this weekend (blame Sissy) but I'm going to try to do it tomorrow (yes, there will be pictures, so wish me luck). More tom...I gotta go to bed...I'm beat:P

  1. Chocolate is good for you. I'm convinced of it.

  2. I'm there with you. We are all in a chocolate coma. I even told myself, "I'm not going to eat any". I also mentally said to myself that I was going to run when I get home.

Ate the chocolate, did not run!

  3. Love the photo! And I love how Little Man can chow down.

Can you believe I didn't get any Easter candy for myself? One of these days I will wise up and realize the mom really does have to do everything, including buy herself Easter candy. So naturally, I scavenged my child's Easter egg hunt cache for stuff I knew he wouldn't eat ... but none of it was chocolate anyway. Oh well, I can hope for the 50% sales tomorrow, right? :)

  5. LOL! My husband is a huge chocoholic. And even though I've tried to keep the stuff away from my son, he's really into it too. I'm one of those odd ones who just have no craving at all for chocolate. None at all.

  7. Alexis is not a big chocolate fan. Once in a while she will want it, but usually she declines my attempts at corrupting her and ensuring a lifetime of crappy teeth.

    More for me.

  8. Sometimes it's fun to just let loose. My 2 year old ate more Peeps yesterday morning then my 5 year old has eaten in her entire life. I let go. Today, back on the horse! =) Denise (couldn't post through my google acct)

  10. My 3yo got a small basket yesterday - so my theory is that it can only last so long and the sooner she eats it the better. I had my fill over the weekend and now I'm choosing to be done eating the Easter candy.

  11. I don't ration it out either. I pretty much let them have their way with their loot at Easter and Halloween. Bad mommy!

  12. Don't hate me, but I don't have the weakness for chocolate. I could take it or leave it. This year, we left Easter altogether. We didn't celebrate since we were en route on Sunday. Fine by me. I don't have to worry about rationing and resisting and will power and such...

  14. I have no doubt that I have a real chocolate addiction. It's all or nothing! I'm going to try and stick to nothing for awhile after all the crap I ate yesterday.

  17. Oooh... chocolate is my favorite friend! I say this as I sit here popping chocolate covered pretzels in my mouth.

  18. I am actually a very successful rationer (is that a word?). It got a little away from me on Sunday because my MIL had candy and/or cookies where little hands could reach. But since then, I've split everything up, and they can have chocolate if they have a good dinner. I'm a mean mommy like that.

Oh, and I just remembered that I got myself some chocolate-covered oreos from Sarris for Easter. Wonder where I hid them?

    ciao,

  19. I think next year I need to buy the candy that I don't like for the baskets - then I won't be inclined to eat it!
