You will have to pardon me for not getting my LOST post up sooner...You see, it has taken me this long to scrape my brains up off the floor, and shove them back in my head:P
Here's the thing...Young Ben is not dead. He can't be. Sayid made a rookie mistake that all horror movie victims make...He didn't take the shot to the head to make sure the villain is dead. Seriously Sayid, you are WAY better than that! Young Ben took one shot to the chest, and Sayid took off...should have taken a second shot to the head buddy...Although, on this island, it may not make a difference. I mean, how many times has Locke bit it?
What do you think for next week? Is Jack going to out himself as a doctor and save young Ben (thus saving Ben's a** for a second time)? Maybe Juliet will take a crack at saving Ben? Bottom line, Ben can not be dead. If he is, then he didn't exist to recruit Juliet to the island. He didn't exist to wipe out Dharmaville. He didn't exist to terrorize the survivors of Oceanic 815. He didn't exist to recruit Locke into saving the island. He didn't exist to get the Oceanic 6 back to the island...get what I'm saying?
Husband made the mistake of watching LOST with me (for the first time!) Talk about CLUELESS. He kept asking "where are we now?"..."is this before or after that?"...my personal favorite was "just tell me if we are before the chick cuffs him, or after he's chained to the tree?" Yeah, how do I explain that in the time line events happened 30 years ago are after 30 years before?
Being a visual person...Here's how I did...
New rule...no new people watch LOST with me.

Ok I'll play your silly little game and raise you $20, Ben is not dead, so why is next weeks episode titled Dead is Dead? Hmmmm so if it's not referring to Ben, who is it referring to? Who is dead? Maybe Sayid's actions won't rewrite history completely, maybe just skewer it a bit ??
ReplyDeleteC'mon now...since when is anyone dead on this island?!?
ReplyDeleteHow many times has Locke bit it?
It seems like no one dies on "Lost" until the island decides they can die. Like Michael. Ben dead? Sure . . . and the sun is rising in the WEST tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteOh, I've been waiting your LOST post all day. Ben is certainly not dead, but I wonder if shotting him in the 70s triggered an alternate reality, which is where Sun and Frank are right now. Did Faraday talk about alternate realities?
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I've forbidden my husband from watching LOST with me. He's too far behind. Not that I could answer any of his questions anyway...
or you could just get your hubby the first 4 seasons and make him watch them before he can watch with you again!
ReplyDeleteSeriously, should tv require us to think this hard? It would be nice if Ben was dead though 'cause he totally creeps me out!
ReplyDeleteI love your time map. Can you make one for the people that were stuck on the island? I imagine that it would look like a bunch of scribbles. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the map too! I've been sick this last week, so I'm rewatching season 1 LOST. It's my favorite show!
ReplyDeleteGreat map - you rock. My hubby and I have watched religiously since the first episode - I would freak out if he hadn't watched and then tried to join me. I started watching Heroes last season and bugged the crap out of him asking questions - b/c he'd watched it since day one. Now I am caught up on both shows, and still totally in the dark regarding the plots of each :-)
