Boys Will be Boys
It's hard to tell from this picture...but The Little Man got his first black eye:( Poor Little Man ran full force and did a faceplant into a basket of wooden blocks...ouch! He's a tough Little Man and it only slowed him down for a moment of crying, then he was back on his way. Boys are just different than girls, ya know?

Oh I see the purple... OUCH!!! That had to hurt!
ReplyDeleteThe first one is always the hardest for me... once we got it out of the way I was ok with the rest... well, not ok, but not worrying as much about protecting their perfect little faces anymore.
It looks painful! Poor Guy. But like you said, boys will be boys. And things like this aren't going to slow him down.
ReplyDeleteAll right, NW. Just admit it was bar fight, already?
ReplyDeleteSomeone says something about your momma and comic book "ka-pow"...
I hate to see what the other guy looks like.
P.S love the new header. It's delish and devilish, too!
ReplyDeleteI could not agree more. They are a different breed of animal.
ReplyDeleteBoys are so different than the girls!
ReplyDeleteAwww, poor little guy! My sister and i both have pictures of us with black eyes. My sis actually took a header out of her high chair, and had TWO!
ReplyDeleteBut boys, they are a whole 'nother story...
"Of all the animals, the boy is the most unmanageable" - Plato
SO TRUE! Moms of girls always fawn all over my little guy when he falls.. but I tell them that he is fine, and they are shocked to find that he usually he is. Your kids look so much a like.. adorable.
ReplyDeleteOwie! It looks like purple marker, which was my first thought when I saw the picture. We haven't had black eyes yet, but we have had a broken bone.
ReplyDeleteOy! Poor baby! Courtney did that last summer. She fell on some rocks that left the hugest shiner on her eye!
ReplyDeleteI think God gave me a girl first for a reason. Black eyes terrify me. Maybe for the second kid one day - after I'm broken in :)
ReplyDeleteFirst I love the new background and comment layout.
ReplyDeletePoor guy! You are sooooo right boy's are truly different from girls .... my daughter is miss drama queen, she would of stew over a black eye for hours....
Yoowzers that looks like it stung a bit. What a toughie!
ReplyDeleteoh so true. girls and boys are very different. the other night my son (17 months) busted his lip and it was bleeding. he only cried because i was trying to stop the bleeding and keep the blood off of my carpet. his sister however spent forever crying because her "little buddy was hurt". I'm talking my almost 5 yr old had the tears and snot and all worried about the pain her brother was in and he was just pissed i wouldn't let him keep playing until i figured out the source of the blood and stopped it! agh.
ReplyDeleteI don't know.... My daughter is actually the one to fall, crack a lip, and get up and keep on going, while my eldest would sob over a bruised knee...
ReplyDeleteGlad it wasn't worse!
My son did that too. He was jumping on the couch and hit the arms. Of course he did this the day before our final court date for his adoption. Timing and grace. That's boys.
ReplyDeleteOuch! Glad he had a quick recovery.
ReplyDeleteOhhh no!! Poor little buddy!!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure he will be showing off that battle scar on the playground!
oh no....poor little guy. Isn't it amazing how they can get hurt like that, and just shake it off. I whine for like....ummmm days. lol
ReplyDeleteDon't I know it...my little guy couldn't be more different than our DD.
ReplyDeleteBelieve it!!
ReplyDeleteMy Monkey is waaaay different than the princess. Although both have had their share of black eyes :-)
It is a precious pic though.
No, I didn't get an e-mail..
Awwwww! My son is actually the sensitive one and will cry and cry and cry (and yes he's older).
ReplyDeleteThat's a shiner to be proud of!
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't look like it slowed him down any. He looks so happy! Maybe black eyes are a passage into boyhood for the little guys. :)
ReplyDeleteHey warden,
ReplyDeleteThere is no crying in blocks....
I'm sure it maybe his first but will not be his last.
At least it wasn't the day before school pictures...my mom about flipped.
Thanks for sharing this life moment of passage.
