The Twighlight Zone

You're traveling through another dimension -- a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind. A journey into a wondrous land whose boundaries are that of imagination. A land where a runner is trapped in an endless loop...all uphill! That's a signpost up ahead: your next stop: The Twilight Zone!

You unlock this door with the key of imagination. Beyond it is another dimension: a dimension of sound, a dimension of sight, a dimension of mind. You're moving into a land of both shadow and substance, of things and ideas. You've just crossed over into...The Twilight Zone.

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. In this space, a runner we will call Nap Warden is running, a constant battle, in a twelve mile loop that is only one direction...uphill. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call "The Twilight Zone".

OMG...The run went well, considering the fact that, it was pouring down rain, and for some strange reason...it was all uphill! I knew at that moment I had crossed over into The Twilight Zone!!! My time for this 12 mile ordeal...1 hour 54 min. I am going to count that as a win all things considered:)

  1. Wow! You are awesome!
I went for my crappy little 4 mile run yesterday and was dying the whole time. I actually thought of how hard you have been working and the fact that you were probably running 12 miles while I was suffering over my measly 4.
Glad it went so well. :)

  3. Oh my! Sounds like you did great to run in those conditions. The rain alone would have been enough for me to stay home. :)

  4. You are a warrior! I'm pretty hardcore when it comes to my running but even I won't run in the rain...

  5. Guess all that detasseling during the hot summers in the rain helped prepare you for running.
Glad to hear you are still moving.
Did you jump into a cold tub when you got home?

  9. 1hr 54mins for 12 miles up-hill in the rain, girl I would be still trying to finish. That is extreme but kudos to ya. I know you feel so accomplished and you should that is excellent.

  10. Was it snowing, too? I'm pretty sure that if I were to run 12 miles, it would be all uphill, snowing, and tiny invisible midgets would be trying to push me backwards.

    Good job!
