Summer Nights

This is my cry for help! I know I watch too much TV...It's not a crime. I like TV, it's like my own little pacifier. Since I have gone high def., I love it even more. Yes, I'll admit, I named my TV George, you would to. The problem...it seems to me that summer television is more dreadful this year than ever! There is nothing to watch on TV! I'd settle for reruns of CSI Miami, and I can't even find that:P Would it kill them to just have the all CSI Miami/Law and Order channel...Seriously, would it kill them?!?
Since the networks have seen fit to not make that an option, I have (and am currently watching now) watched Blades of Glory more times than I can publicly admit *hanging head in shame*. I know it is an awful movie...I do, and yet it draws me in like a magnet! Help me...help me stop watching Blades of Glory!!! I need a support group, it really is quite shameful...please don't tell anyone. If you should come across this movie on HBO...don't watch! It will suck you in, and you'll be one of us. One of the sad, TV watching fools, lost in a sea of endless channels and nothing to watch:( Look away, save yourselves...I must go and watch the end of Blades of Glory, it's coming up on the good part:P

  3. I feel your pain. May I suggest CBS's new "Swingtown"? It is my latest guilty pleasure. Seriously. And if you have the "on demand" feature you can catch up on the two or three episodes that have already aired.

I also have The Secret Life of an American Teenager in the DVR. It premieres July 1st.

Now that you realize how much sitting there is for my ass to do, you can stop wondering why I am not a runner.

  5. Oh my gosh, I am a total TV fiend too, and summer is tough... I watch So You Think You Can Dance, but that's pretty much it for summer shows right now... We have been watching Ice Road Truckers on the History Channel, which is crazy, and downloading random stuff... like a National Geographic Special on a runaway train and this new show called Fear Itself which I have not been impressed with thus far.

Luckily my copy of Blades of Glory got left in a DVD player at a beach house we stayed in, so I don't have that trap to fall into...

  6. I too am a Will Ferrel junkie... most of his movies absolutely crack me up.

I must admit that I'm enjoying U.S. television. As we speak, my husband is watching serious crap T.V... a show titled "The Man Whose Arms Exploded." What drivel... yet we're hooked.

  7. The good thing about living in Palembang is that we get lots of 'cheap' DVDs...so I just go out and buy all the TV series I'm missing out on. Of course, its always after you would watch it in the US but better than nothing.

  9. I admit I have never seen this movie. Will Ferrel just doesn't do it for me. I will try to avoid at all costs as not to be sucked in. Hehe! I'm laughing that your TV has a name now...

  10. hahaha. What is wrong with a little Blades of Glory? I found myself sucked into Con Air last night and then found it amusing that ITT tech was advertising criminal justice classes during the commercial breaks. I think they may have GoogleAdsense doing their keyword search.

  15. Meeeeeee!!!! You and I would be BFFs IRL!!! I swear we would. I, too, watch terrible, horrible, no good movies as if they were academy award winners. So sad.

And George . . . meet Charlie :) (and no, I didn't actually name my TV before just now, but my TV was totally jealous that your TV had a name, and since we are so close . . . )

It is so bad, I started watching the Bachelor. My agenda . . . So you think you can dance, Last comic standing and a plethora of Discovery, TLC, and AMC shows . . . and really bad movies over and over and over again :)

  17. Okay I thought Blades of Glory was kind of funny.
But compared to what else is on? It's better than nothing.

  18. Haven't seen it but those actors are so funny! Love 'em.

It can't be as embarrassing as saying you've watched the movie Joe Dirt.
