LOST...and The Dance Class

What, what, what...! OK, Jack proposed! Does he know he's related to Aaron? I gotta say "You go guy!" to Sawyer! I loved him taking care of Claire. Did you catch him calling the ghost whisperer guy "Donger"...Loved it! Is Claire dead? I mean she left with Jack's/her Dad...what does that mean? Jin...Way to be a man! I loved when he got all up in red headed chicky's face in Korean, and started talking finger breaking! Go Jin (sorry that you die):( All in all, I thought it was a slow episode. I am so obsessed with this show, I don't mind as long as they keep feeding me new ones. What'd I miss...what'd you all think?

Next up...I went to dance class today. Holy crazy Stepford Children Batman! I am not kidding you, all of these kiddos were doing plies, and first position/second position, while Miss Peach rolled around on the floor! I was shocked and frightened at the same time. There was one other girl who was not participating...but it just left me thinking wtf! All of the girls who were Stepford Dancers were dropped of by nannies or daycare. Are they all used to following along in a class environment becuase every part of their day is structured? I don't get it...I am not kidding you, these kiddos were all under the age of three! Long story short, Miss Peach is moving to a sports/open play class. It was painfully clear that my Little Peach did not belong there.

  1. ahhh love the idea of mrs. peach rolling on the floor while others do their dance moves. not sure where an under 3 year old listens and performs, they must be on meds ???

as for lost, i gave up a long time ago, yet i am still intrigued when i see posts about them.

  2. I SO hear you on the whole Lost thing....I am obsessed with the show, but half the time I don't know what's going on!! It does keep me interested though...

  3. Last night was REAL slow. I don't think we got any answers at all. I hate that.

Um, what kind of freak 2-year old already knows real dance moves? I'm sorry, but that's just not right. Two should be all about free form play.

  4. I haven't even watched season 3 yet so I had to skip your whole first paragraph :)

Maybe you could send Miss Peach to tumbling or circus classes. Thats what I'm aiming for if I ever get the chance to send Aaron to extra-curricular activities.

  5. Under 3? I'd find that strange too. I think if I put my 2-year old in a dance class, she would definitely be lost. She's too shy to even dance in our living room in front of us sometimes!

  6. My big thing about LOST now is trying to get the flash forwards to line up. Especially since we have seen three forwards with Jack & Kate and in each one they are at completely different stages. It's very confusing!

  7. that kind of thing weirds me out too. I mean they're three for crying out loud, they should be able to roll around on the floor and not have to worry about structure yet.
good choice on your part to put her in something else, a little more fitting.

  8. Sounds like it's not a very good dance school, at least for kids that age. My school gets even the two-year-olds moving in synch -- by doing age-appropriate things and letting them have fun.

Switching is a definite. You can always return to dance later on (I didn't start #2 until she was about to turn 4).

  9. I *gasp* don't watch Lost, so can't comment there.
Don't feel too bad. Princess got in 'trouble' Wed at gymnastics because she was so wired. I feel bad for the kids who are too structured, so structured that they go along blindly without questioning. Sad, sad.

  10. Haven't seen the latest Lost yet. *Plugging ears and closing eyes*

And the dance class? Weird. My daughter did tap at 2 and I had to do it with her for 4 months because she was freaking out. Even after I got to sit down it consisted of holding hands, making circles and potty breaks. That class you saw: S-C-A-R-Y!

  11. What?! A bunch of under 3s doing plies??? What kind of sedatives did their parents give them before class???

  12. I tried to watch Lost last night . . . and you're right -- that's a lot of stuff to throw at viewers, especially those who haven't watched in a very long time.

And yeah, good call on that dance class. Yowza!

  13. The more I watch, the more I want.

Free play sounds a lot more fun!

Your little Peach will be happier elsewhere.

  15. I'm amazed that an under-3 class was so controlled. When my girl was 3, they were all over the place in dance class. Sounds very Stepford-ish.

  18. Since I dance like the Bear in the Movie Jungle Book this number the dance steps thing must mean I was left out of some under 3 dance class.....Now, I can't dance, can't play piano. I only play I Pod now.

  19. Okay, I skipped this post earlier in the week b/c I had not watched yet. Tonight I watched and it took me 10 seconds to get over to your site after it was over.

Husband says it's getting slow. WTH? No way. I'm loving it. I totally second everything you said about loving Jin and Sawyer. But what is UP with this Jack/Kate thing. ARGH.

And why can they see dead people? I want to KNOW!

  20. I do not watch LOST....and I jut know I would be totally LOST if I tried!

as for the dance class.....who knows....but if miss Peach wants to be free and such......then you are sooooooooo doing the right thing. When else should children be free?

  21. I am so having anxiety attacks about Claire and what happens to her and WHO will feed and take care of Aaron until they get off the island? And where is her diaper bag? Why does she never have to change that diaper? Obsessed about LOST. Jack totally knows he's related to Aaron now. . .so interesting. Go Sawyer. Kate annoys me. I could just go on and on. Love that Miss Peach is her own little dancer and not some preprogrammed robot. Yay!

  22. "It was painfully clear that my Little Peach did not belong there." So many other places she could be!!! And places that are a heck of a lot more fun and cooler :)

  23. What about the Jack/Juliet thing? And why did she tell Kate that?

I'm starting to wonder if the 6 are time traveling. Ben popped out same place polar bears did and he chuckled when told the date. My story and I'm stinking to it until they throw me another bone and then I dope slap myself in the head.

  24. This totally made me laugh. When we moved to TX, I signed the kids up for gymnastics (at 2 and 3)....these Texans take gymnastics and cheer seriously....that should be SERIOUSLY! At two and three, most of these kids have had one to two years of tumbling!

Oh well, they add some balance to the class. We stuck with it. They have come a long way in almost two years. But still I felt the same way!
