Come Back!!!

OK...are you totally looking forward to the Sex and the City movie? I so am! All the hype around this movie got me to thinkin', "I wish they would just bring this show back!". Well, you gotta know where I'm going from here. I would love if they brought _______ show back. So I give you thirteen shows I wish would come back, I miss 'em, and I want 'em back!
1) Sex and the City-Husband would love it, only because I torture him nightly with reruns on tbs.
2) Cheers-I would watch this show until the end of time...love it, miss it.
3) Sienfeld-Seriously, I watch it over, and over, and over...just make some new ones, we'd watch!
4) Melrose Place-I think I was the last one watching this show. I turned off the lights, and yet if they brought it back, I'd be the first one watching:)
5) Will & Grace-I never approved ending this one...
6) Designing Women-How did this series end? Did they do a series finale, 'cause I never saw one?
7) Gilmore Girls-I just loved this show...was I the only one? Is that why they quit makin' 'em?
8) The Larry Sanders Show-I'm a dork, I know...
9) Dynasty-OK, I'm a dork, and I'm old...
10) Freaks & Geeks-Does anyone remember this show, cause I loved it!?!
11) Night Court-Why did I like this show so much? I totally forgot about it until John Larroquette showed up on Boston Legal...I loved Night Court...
12) WKRP in Cincinnati-They could totally bring this one back, right?
13) Murphy Brown-I would totally watch this one too! Don't get me wrong, I love Candice on Boston Legal. She could do that and a new Murphy Brown, couldn't she?
What did I miss...? What would you want them to bring back from the TV graveyard???

  1. I miss a show, but I can't remember the name, but it came out the same time that X-Files came out, and the guy's name was Chase. Do you know what I'm talking about?

  2. Cheers was great but I think it had run its course. It would be in danger of looking very dated now. I think Susiej is thinking of a show called Millenium.

  3. You had me at Gilmore Girls. That would actually be my number one even though I thought it went downhill the last two seasons. They need to do a movie, and Jess needs to be in it. Period.

  4. I never understood Sex in the City. I saw it a couple times when I was in hotel rooms and was like: "What??" I have friends who watch it, I'm just a retard.

Now we don't have a TV soo.....

    Happy TT! :)

  7. WKRP MUST come back to prevent cultural illiteracy. We owe it to future generations!

  8. I LOVED Freaks and Geeks. Glad I wasn't the only one.. but I think we were the only two.

  9. If you could arrange to have Arrested Delvt come back? I'd heart you big time. Or maybe Home Front. I LOVED that show.

  10. Make it three Freaks fans!

I want Buffy and Angel back, myself. And Farscape. Don't forget about Aeryn Sun and John Crichton and company.

  12. Cheers and Seinfeld were some of my faves. I think that says something about how shallow I am.

  13. I need Gilmore Girls back. I was obsessed. The show lacked after Amy Sherman Palladino (the creator) left.

I watch the dvds all the time to get my fix. I wish they would do a movie or something!

I just want to see Lauren Graham back.

(It's sad - but DH and I will be naming our next daughter Lorelai!)

  16. Now I have the WKRP song in my head. Great TT!!!

OK--as for Idol. Expletive . . . expletive . . . expletive. You've got to be kidding me. I swear, that Vote for the Worst and all those 12-old-girls who didn't vote for Archuleta had something to do with this. Ugh.

  17. I don't think there has ever been a show as culturally important or as funny as WKRP. One of my all time favs. Come on...how funny was it when Les is reporting live from the turkey drop!

I also miss Hogan's Heros. Classic funny!

I still miss Jess from Gilmore Girls. And he's not the same on that popular super hero show. I want Jess back.

I'm going to go cry in my pillow.

  22. I did not like the ending of Night Court. I don't know if WKRP could ever be re-created. It was so funny!

  24. If I spent some time thinking about it, I could come up with dozens. Buffy & Angel & Firefly, definitely. Get a Life. Herman's Head. And I'll agree with you on Designing Women, Night Court, and WKRP in Cincinnati.

  25. Those were some good shows. I also miss Sport Night and West Wing, before it jumped the shark after Sorkin left.

My current favorite is New Amsterdam. I so hope they bring it back.

    Happy TT!

  26. Oh Sex and the City! YES! Except I don't have HBO so I couldn't see new episodes anyway.

I watch reruns on CW and also torture my hubby. But you know what was REALLY bad about the reruns? The tremendous CUTS!

And the worst one was the very last (and BEST) episode, which I have seen most of, on the CW and TBS they cut the absolute BEST parts out!

Like when she finds her necklace, like when she continually is within a few feet of Mr. Big in Paris without either of them knowing. AND, the worst cut of all, when they cut the last scene when they finally reveal Mr. Big's name! I literally sat and stared at the tv for 10 minutes in complete shock after that one. How could they do that and live with themselves? And decided I need to just buy that series and be done with it.

Yes, I am WAY too much of a fan...

  27. OK, I vote for nearly all of these shows. WKRP is in my top 10 favorites of all time. Great list.

    China Beach

  30. Really wishing they would bring back "Sex and the City". We have already planned a girls night out on movie night for it. Looking forward to it so much.

  31. I loved Gilmore Girls and WRKP but never watched any of the others. I don’t watch much TV at all … but I did love the original Star Trek series and wished they’d had more than 3 seasons worth of shows. I doubt they could reproduce it today. MASH comes to mind … but it did run a long time ;--)
    Hugs and blessings,

  37. I"m with you on 2,3,5,6,12,13, and If I weren't so tired I'd add a few. :)

  38. Friends and NYPD Blue...my favorites!

  39. Northern Exposure, NYPD Blues and Cheers.

These are a few of my favorites. I have a habit of liking a show. The TV executives find out, and then cancel it.

Tom & Jerry cartoons. The politically incorrect version so we can laugh.

Great post, thanks for the stroll down memory lane.

  40. It would so be Party of Five, but then Matthew Fox would have to leave Lost and a lot of people would be unhappy about that!
