Have I mentioned how exhausted I am? I am absolutely exhausted. I didn't tell you all that, not only did the babies and I have the flu last week, but Husband was in India...yes, India! I have said it before, and I'll say it again...My hat is off to all single parents out there, it is hard endless work. The babies are finally in bed, and after twelve days of single parenting for me, Husband is supposed to get home early tomorrow morning. Thank God! I had my moments of completely loosing my mind. After twelve days, I deserve a vacation...
On a side note, why is it that every time I turn my back, The Little Man has found his way into the cat food? I can't get him at all interested in dinner and yet he is double fisting the cat food into his mouth as fast as he can! Should I just give up and serve cat food for dinner?

Our kids ate more dog food than the dogs at certain points in their lives.
My hat is off to you, and you deserve a break. Holy cow, single parenting while sick is not fun.
Take a vacation girl!! and I can't stop laughin at the cat food fistfuls image! Of course, would not be AS funny if it was my child.

LOL about the cat food. I'm sure my parents felt the same way when I was growing up. I still remember how it tasted. Gross. I know.
Two people I work with just got back from India. Both of them (on separate trips) got a respiratory virus that knocked them out for a couple of days. I hope your hubby comes back healthy.
Oh Little Man, don't you know that's not for YOU!! I mean, I know that Gerber "toddler" "food" smells and tastes similar, but you're just going to have to learn to be more discerning, mmmkay?
NW- I tty agree about the single parenting thing! WAY TOO HARD. I'm soloing it now and again later this month. :(
You definitely need a vacation. I tried single parenting for only a weekend and I felt like I needed time off after that!

Kudos to you, toots. I think you are amazing and handled the single thing with grace...considering you had the flu. Hubby better be bringing you something good from India. And, I say you get a ski trip weekend very soon.
Alexis would have lived off of dog food if we had let her. I don't get the attraction myself.
I hope everybody is feeling 100% better in time for your husband to be home. It would suck for the homecoming party to include any flu symptoms.
What is it with kids and pet food?? Miss V loved dog food. She won't eat applesauce but I cannot keep her from the dog bowl! Glad to hear your hubby is coming home. Hopefully you can get a break soon.

Vacation with lots of wine...sounds like that is what you need. Going it alone is never easy...no rest for the weary. Hopefully, hubby will give you some "me" time....upon his return.

Oh man I feel your pain! My hubs has been travelling off and on for the past 8 weeks, he's only been home twice in that time span. And of course everything that could go wrong, did go wrong! But he is coming home Wed, to stay for a long while, and I haven't quite decided where I'm going yet, but I know I am getting the hell out of here!

My sweet Hubby has been gone in India & Malaysia for 12 days now too! He gets home on Friday night, and let me tell ya - I'm counting down the hours. I told him he could do most anything & I'd never leave him because I wouldn't be able to do this whole parenting thing on my own...exhausting, huh??? I'm getting a pedi on Sunday with a friend and CAN NOT WAIT!
