No Do-overs!

You know, it just peeves me. Michigan and Florida were told by the Democratic party, that if they moved their primaries up, that their votes would not count. Yet in the race to be first, and matter most, they moved the primaries up anyway. Now, they want their votes to count. Tough sh*t, the consequences for your actions are...your votes don't count. I just don't think the Dems. should bend the rules. I know Hillary needs all the delegates she can get, and I'm sure the Clintons are pushing hard to count Michigan and Florida. I just think enough is enough. You knew you weren't gonna count when you moved them up, so guess what, you don't count! (Sorry to the folks in Fla. and Mich. your reps screwed you and you should let them know how you feel about it!)

  1. I heard it here first. Thanks for keeping me informed. This really sucks for the voters, but I agree with you, the consequences were clear and should be enforced.

  2. I finally get to vote tomorrow, couldn't be more excited. My first time voting in Mississippi. I was initially upset that we vote so late here, but now it seems that my vote will be important.

  4. I hadn't heard that. Gosh, it stinks doesn't it? But I agree, they shouldn't count because they changed the rules. They SHOULD go be very vocal to their higher-ups though.

  5. You know something...AMEN Sister!
I cannot believe the whining that is happening over this. And I hate the fact that Dean is being wishy washy saying MI should have to deal with it, but saying it is different for FL. I say they need to deal with the consequences of their actions.

  6. Here, here.

The push to get the votes counted is mostly coming from the Clintons.

The democratic race is quickly turning nasty. The closer it gets, the nastier it will become.

The part I worry most about is, can Obahma keep to the high ground while the Clintons move to the low?

  7. I couldn't agree with you more! As with all things, our actions have consequences. The rules were clear and they were broken anyway.

  8. Hell yeah - no do-overs. Of course, this does highlight the obsessiveness with being first in our primary system and why it is flawed. I personally, suppor the idea of rotating early primaries through the states/giving out primary dates based on a lottery.

I just want this Dem primary to be over already. Put them on the same ticket and call it a day!

  12. I'm from MI and I say no do overs. What's weird is Clintons agreed to it so why is she changing her mind? Oh cuz she needs them now. I think it was a sad ploy by the state to be a deciding factor - and this is why I hate politics.
