Random Thoughts, Volume IV

First, holy out of my comfort zone Batman! Husband on a crazy whim signed us up for a Costco membership. I went there for the first time this weekend. Let me start by saying, I pushed a cart around that was bigger than my first apartment! Just insane...I have never seen so much stuff in my entire life. I think going here once a month is more than enough. Did I mention I have enough diapers to last until next year...need some?
Second, am I the only one who has noticed that the spellcheck no longer works on Blog-gerrrr? It is driving me crazy! What is up? Don't even think that I won't leave you Blogger...shape up, or I'm shippin' out! Third, you know I am a Sex & the City junkie right? Well, I have tried both Lipstick Jungle and Cashmere Mafia. While I realize that neither one of them is S & TC, I find that I can tolerate Lipstick Jungle. Cashmere Mafia is just to stupid for words. I don't know anyones name on L.J., but that 25 year old hottie that what'sherface is sleepin' with...meow! I know it's trash, but something inside me likes seeing cute little bratpacker Blane from Pretty in Pink (Blane, that's not a name, it's a major appliance). Yes, Andrew Mccarthy is no longer the dreamy guy he was when I was in high school...but it's still fun to see him:) Thoughts...are you watchin' either one?
Lastly, I am thinkin' 'bout jumpin' ship. Yep, moving from PC to Mac. I am lusting after this little pup right here, and he ain't cheap! I just can not take much more of the blue screen of death that my PC keeps flashing me:( Thoughts, PC...Mac...what are you guys on?

  1. We have a Sam's Club membership. There is no Costco in these here parts. Not sure why. We pretty use if for a few items that we can save a ton on, but some of the stuff is just too big. I do remember diapers were actually more expensive then when they went on sale at Target.

The spell checker problem seems to be a known bug. I found a support thing the other day on it. Apparently, they are "working on it."

I've only seen the movie Pretty in Pink...I was a junkie for those movies in high school. Although I was a bigger Breakfast Club fan.

  2. I am so glad it isn't just me who doesn't have spell check....I thought I was going crazy. Blogger better get it fixed dang it.

We don't have a Costco, but do have Sam's Club....warning you can get sucked in, and spend way too much money.

I steered clear of both of the shows, I can't stand listening to hubby whine when I watch chick shows as he calls them.

  3. I'm no help on the TV front - I don't watch much of anything apparently.

And I've found that one can never have too many diapers. We have ours delivered two cases at a clip.

  4. If you use firefox for your browser you can install a plug in that will spell check everything you type on the internet (including this comment). It is a live saver for people (like me) who can't spell!

  5. We belonged to Costco for a year...they sell great salmon and PERIOGIssss....I wish I could get some more of those. The stores here don't have ones that are any good.

  6. Spell check has been broken for far too long. There's even been a maintenance thingy that fixed stuff since it broke, but they left out the only freakin' break I care about. FIX THE DAMN SPELL CHECK, BLOGGER!

    *Shakes hand at sky*

Costco is right up there with Target for me. Every time I go, I walk out with all sorts of random crap I didn't really need. But all that biggy-size stuff seems like a great idea at the time.

  7. We have a PC but even my hubby, aka the computer geek who lives for Linux is thinking of moving to a MAC for our home computer. My friends who have them think they're the bomb. But as you say, PRICEY.

  8. I'm also a S&TC junkie! I haven't caught much of LJ, thinking it would just make me miss Carrie and the Girls. No??

I do love the 25-yr-old hottie storyline, though. I'm trying to relate, with my own 28-yr-old in my life recently ;o)

    Thanks!

  9. Oh Costco is so much fun! Sometimes I take the little one and we just walk around and have "lunch" with all the free samples. With four, there's quite a lot I buy in bulk.

  10. I think the PC to Mac fever must be moving around.....I just had a friend who made the move. And I have also been considering it for some time.....The only reason I haven't yet is because I'm STILL waiting for my ailing PC to just DIE. Then I can comfortably fork out some money for the Mac.

  11. No memberships here. We don't have Cosco, just Sams, but I never see that big of deals to justify a membership fee,

And I did watch LJ to really see if it was anything like sex and the city. Nope. HATED it. But I really did like seeing Blane (or is it Blaine) again. Probably won't watch again.

  14. I love me a Costco!! As for the LJ vs. the CM, I haven't seen LJ yet, still on the DVR but I think CM is way silly. Hopefully LJ is better.

  15. LOOOOOOOOOOVE the Mac! We have an iMac and a MacBook. The Air looks fabulous, though. Macs are so worth the money! No viruses, no problems, no lost documents.

  16. Costco is AMAZING. We love it. And I have diapers I'm hoping to get through before he outgrows the size!

Spellcheck hasn't worked for over a week! It's enfuriating. (Did I spell that right?)

  17. 1. Costco is crazy addictive (although I prefer Sams)
    2. Not watching either show, but Andrew McC? He's still around?
    3. MOVE. Jump ship. I LOVE WP. But, I've already told you that.
    4. Had a Mac laptop. LOVED it to pieces. LOVED it. And, then it died & I stole Pup's laptop. If and when we get a serious influx of cash, I'll happily get a new one.

  18. PC to Mac--might be a good idea since you are now a designing QUEEN! I often check out your work and am amazed at what a pro you are quickly becoming! Congrats on that.

The Costco and Sam stores SCARE me. So much stuff and so little time/money/space/actual NEED for the bulk of it. BUT, I LOVE it anyway.

I have both Cashmere and Lipstick DVRd but haven't had time to watch. I'll fill you in, but there is nothing to campare with Sex . . . and the City, that is.

  20. I LOVE costco! It has een great for our family although it is never under $200 a trip.

  21. Addicted to Costco and Sams although after awhile you can't purchase anything because it won't fit into your house due to previous purchases.

TAKE ME WITH YOU AWAY FROM BLOGGER AND TO THE MAC!

I am still the only one in the entire world who hasn't seen all the S&C episodes so I have to finish all those first, but Andrew used to be sooooooo hot.

  22. I am SO glad you mentioned the "spell check no longer works on Blogger" thing! I was wondering if I was the only one! I hope they get that fixed ASAP!

P.S. Macs are great! My vote is to make the move!

  23. We are Sam's Clubbers. :-)
Blaine; *sigh* I hearted him then. Still like him now!
I use Firefox so I didn't realize Blogger spell check was broken.
Hmm... I don't watch either show really.
I'm a PC girl. I have friends that have Mac's and nope. Just don't like them. I love my HP laptop.
    good luck!

  24. Lipstick Jungle here! I think I'm only watching for the 25 year old hottie that's ripping up what's-her-face's panty hose!

  25. I never got to watch all the s&c episodes.. so i am finding LJ a guilty pleasure... I'm liking the 'power' these ladies posses all the while having weaknesses and flaws.

  26. i didn't get through 10 minutes of cashmere mafia, but i am enjoying lipstick jungle, not in the i live and die for sex in the city way, but it is decent enough to watch. i just switched to a mac from a pc. i like it, but haven't found all the wonderful things YET.
