It is time for us to accept the fact that the writers on LOST are not going to tell us what the heck is going on with this show. From what I have read, this show is going until 2010. Yay, and boo! I have so many questions from seasons past which don't even seem to be in the picture any more. For example, why does this statue from the season finale two years ago have only four toes? Is there some alien contingent which has not yet been divulged? Smokemonster, anyone...how about the numbers...or the fact that where Jack, Kate and Sawyer were held looked like a zoo? I can not tell you how disappionted in Hurley I was last night:( Sayeed who is my favorite character (you know I think the show should be called Everyone Listen to Sayeed), how do you end up working for Benjamin Linus off the island?!! Why don't you just take him out, what's he got on you, and who are you after? Arghh...What I am saying my fellow LOSTIES is, we are in this boat together...This answerless keep handing us more questions boat:( If you haven't seen LOST yet, my advice to you is don't watch it, cherish your freedom! Head my warning, or you will just end up roaming around an island with no answers and only questions, hopelessly addicted to a show that never gives! My brain hurts...

I can't believe I am admitting this - but I have NEVER seen an episode of Lost. I know I can rent past seasons....but the fear of getting sucked in is too great.
ReplyDeleteMy wife is a much bigger fan than I am. I could see the writing on the wall early on. I also started noticing that the show dangles tons of carrots and many are tied to strings with no ends.
ReplyDeleteI hate that.
You learned anything about poker yet? :-)
I JUST watched last night's episode with my husband and we are both perplexed by the same questions as you. I am starting to get irritated by the fact that I now have MORE questions than I did before the season began. What is up with the time continuum that seems to be on the island? Ben employing Sayid (also MY fav), who is now an ASSASSIN? How did Ben get off the island? What is up with the secret room and all the clothing and passports?
ReplyDeleteUgh! I am frustrated. Come on, JJ Abrams, throw us a bone!
I forgot it was on last night and I missed it. And I did not even record it!! But, from the sound of it, maybe that is a good thing.
ReplyDeleteI am so with you. The way they use the first half of the episode to almost answer a question, only to pile fifty news ones on in the second half, is my current annoyance. I just want to understand ONE thing. Is that too much to ask?
ReplyDeleteThank you for being one of the first people to tell me, I am lucky to have never seen the show. :)
ReplyDeleteI wish I could, but I...just.. can't... let... go! I MUST know why?
ReplyDeleteOh, and last night... I let my son destroy the playroom just so I could watch it "undisturbed".
I wish I could freeze time and just watch all the shows I haven't gotten to watch but hear so much about: Lost, Heroes, Grey Anatomy....
ReplyDeleteI did the unthinkable last week...I got "lost" fever and watched a season 1 & 2 recap show on demand...so i am all caught up...and I have many questions...like I need this in my life...lol

I haven't seen a Lost episode either. Alright that is a lie. I think I saw about 5 minutes of the very first episode.
ReplyDeletePerhaps the writers don't really know what is going on in the show either. Ya think?
I am with you and toni as well..come on. It has totally sucked me in..I laid awake last night thinking of the same things...We need to form a Lost support group..seriously, we have got to work through all these questions and issues...
ReplyDeleteI can not tell you how much I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE - THIS SHOW!!! I don't have a clue half the time what is going on either - but that is what I love about it! It's like watching a mini-movie every week and one day - it will happen - we will be able to piece it all together - it is a mystery and we will be able to piece it all together - I TOTALLY BELIEVE THAT!
ReplyDeleteHey girl - haven't seen you in a while - came by to say hi and have a good weekend - see you soon. Kellan
I am so utterly confused. And all they seem to be doing is bringing on new characters. ARGH.
ReplyDeleteI just love it! It sucks not knowing, but I love it! I get really irritated when I go to a movie and figure out whodunit early on. This show is awesome! But yeah, Sayeed and Ben, WTH??? That is very interesting...
ReplyDeleteWell said! I almost wish I wasn't sucked in because now? I'm obligated to watch for the next 2 years.
ReplyDeleteOh, I thought it was awesome. I'm beginning to believe that Ben may not be the enemy. It looks like their going after the "Company." Hummm, I like the fact that the show has a definite end. I think all the dangled carrots are why we're so interested in watching it. The writers (thank goodness their on their way back!) have always had an outline and concepts in mind. As long as we keep watching and the ratings remain high (to keep funding alive), then we will see the story unfold as it was intended to unfold.
ReplyDeleteThe Babylon 5 series was a great example of a good story cut short due to funding and last minute production of the 5th season was a terrible blow because all the main story lines were completed in season 4. The writers were told they weren't going to get a season 5.
I know. I am soooo "lost" myself on all these new happenings. It's like just when I think I know what track they are taking, they throw in a new loop!
ReplyDeleteiiiiiiiii know!!! I was just talking about this today. I keep threatening to stop watching, but who am I kidding. I hang on in hopes that my questions will be answered:)
ReplyDeleteThere are more questions than ever, but I actually have been impressed by this season so far. It's fun to try to speculate the possibilities. That said, I wish I didn't have to wait a whole week between episodes (sigh).
