Updates, and a Wordless...

******The contest is the next post down...scroll baby, scroll!********
Well, you know how we were keeping our fingers crossed? You can uncross them now. I really can't believe how stupid things have become. Landlady woman and nice girls had been negotiating, and for a moment, it looked like they were going to get to move in. Again, not to be. After much haggling back and forth between the two sides, Landlady finally agreed to let them move in...then they back out. Someone had to move home, someone got sick, I don't even know. Landlady then calls me and says if I want to find new renters who would be willing to sign an 18 month lease, but move out after 6 months if she decides to rehab, or sell...that would be fine with her! So, to make a very long story short, I am right back where I started...I really have nothing left to say on the topic, and I am sure you are sick of hearing about it. We will probably just have to pay out four months of rent...suck! I suppose that's what you get when you rent from crazy...
On the upside, we did close on our house last week. Man what a pain in the patoot that is! Glad it's over. It really is a lovely place, still in the city (farther in, if that's possible). I showed it to my friend Sissy, she said it felt like a "bunker". To tell you the truth, that's what I love about it. I have found during my many years in the big city, that it really matters to have a place you feel safe in. I never felt safe in the house we sold, I feel safe in this place. Move day is next Monday...Can't wait to have that over with...
