For some reason I'm always surprised to see Dr Seuss on this list, but I don't know why I should be. Pretty much every English-speaking family on the planet owns at least a few of his books.
ReplyDeleteFrom Kurt Cobain to Bob Marley to Charles Schultz - now THAT's a list.
ReplyDeleteOne gal. What a sad state.
ReplyDeleteBob Marley? Wow! What a list. lol!
ReplyDeleteHappy TT!
oops, forgot my link
ReplyDeletehttp://www.nicoleaustin.wordpress.com :D
Interesting ??? cant think who to add?
ReplyDeleteDid you do the graphic for this one? Good ghost on the steps...saw it after a second look.
ReplyDeleteI'd have thought Agatha Christie, Irving Berlin and Harold Robbins would be there somewhere. But I suppose it's not just what you produced in your lifetime, it's also how good your accountants and lawyers were!

I would imagine Princess Diana would have a rather wealthy legacy.
ReplyDeleteThat's a very cool list!!!! Happy TT!!!
ReplyDeleteI saw this list earlier, but it didn't connect that only one woman was listed.
ReplyDeleteWe've got a lot of work to do to catch up, huh?
Doesn't surprise me ... great list !
ReplyDeleteWow...thanks for the memories. Poor Marilyn Monroe. I wonder if she knew she would be this famous?? Happy TT.
ReplyDeleteJohn Paul Getty or some of the oil Barons like Waite Phillips are some I would have thought would be on the list. I guess inflation made these others more wealthy.
ReplyDeleteHappy TT!
TM
Yes Up to My Ears, I did the graphic...
ReplyDeleteInteresting list. Happy TT.
ReplyDeleteJust today they put out another list === Elvis was 1, Lennon was 2, Charles Schulz was 3 and George Harrison was 4. Unfortunately, only Marilyn again -- the only woman. Altho, she'd probably like that!!
ReplyDeleteHappy TT!
That is some list!
ReplyDeleteTerrific Thursday Thirteen!
My TT is posted.
Have a wonderful day!
Happy TT'ing!

Raggedy
So pretty much what you're saying is that these are 13 of the richest heirs in the world.
ReplyDeleteWow! That's a list! I would have thought Johnny Carson would be on there?
ReplyDeleteI can't believe only one woman...if Oprah dies tomorrow...there is 2 :)
ReplyDeleteBradley
The Egel Nest
Impressive list!
ReplyDeleteThe Pink Flamingo

Hi, found you over at Works For Mom and decided to pop in. I just heard on the radio today that deceased rapper Tupac Shakur tops Forbes' list of top-grossing dead entertainers. Ain't that something?
ReplyDeleteFan of 2,8,9,and 10:)
ReplyDeleteI never thought Seuss or Einstein would be on that list Happy TT-http://inraesworld.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteThis is a great list! Too bad we could not have any of their money! They don't need it! :)
ReplyDeleteLOL on the other one who commented if Oprah dies tomorrow:D
ReplyDeleteGreat list! Doesn't surprised me either!
Mine is up here;
Thursday Thirteen
Happy TT and Happy Halloween!
Wow, that really surprises me. I wouldn't have expected it.
ReplyDeleteLove the you-as-jack o lantern photo. I can't link to my blog because you don't have comments enabled. See #82 for the link---we've got some amazing photos.
Anna Nicole Smith? Oh, and Princess Diana.
ReplyDeleteI dunno but three of my favs are on that list, Lennon, Harrison & Tolkien!
ReplyDeleteOne female. There is a lesson in gender relations in that list somewhere.
ReplyDeleteReaching back, I thougt Cleopatra would make the list and the founder of Mary Kay cosmetics.
ReplyDeleteSam Walton of Wal-Mart could be on the list as well.
Kurt Cobain was so awesome!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe there was only one lady on the list. :-( Mary Kay Ash probably had (still has) much wealth since she was the one who started Mary Kay Cosmetics, which is still in business today. Great list. Happy TT!
ReplyDeletehttp://katskrackerbox.wordpress.com/2007/11/01/thursday-thirteen-13-13-haunting-halloween-recipes/
Wow, what a great list! How cool.
ReplyDeleteOnly one gal, that is sad! I'm surprised Kurt Cobain is above Elvis. The King is slipping! :) Happy TT! Mine is 13 quotes from The Office!
ReplyDeletehttp://stephenanderin.blogspot.com
Now that was interesting
ReplyDeleteHappy T13
Great list!
ReplyDeleteHave a happy TT!
Yeah - but she was some gal! Fun list - see ya.
ReplyDeleteI was surprised to see Dr. Seuss and Johnny Cash on this list... don't really know why because I knew they were rich... but I guess not THAT rich. Also, Albert Einstein? My TT is here... I'd love to have you stop by.
ReplyDeleteI LIKE your site. I do naps myself (though I can't blame it on having little kids anymore - ha ha)
ReplyDeleteOnly ONE woman? Geesh...
Happy TT-13!
I would've thought Agatha Christie would be on the list since her books have NEVER gone out of print.
ReplyDeleteAre they still arguing about who gets Marley's money?
ReplyDeleteWell when Oprah and Martha die, they'll have to come out with a new list eh?
ReplyDelete-HH
I'm not sure who else I would have expected, but only one girl...bummer.
ReplyDeleteGive it time - Anna Nicole may end up there too
ReplyDeleteNow that was very interesting. Good TT. :o)
ReplyDeleteWhoa!
ReplyDeleteHappy TT to you...
http://happywonderer.wordpress.com/2007/10/31/thursday-thirteen-7-sites-in-great-britain/
Interesting list, though I'm not sure of how Einstein fits in.
ReplyDeleteOnly one female...unfortunately, it makes sense since historically women have been so devalued. I'd like to see how the list changes in 50 years.
No kidding? That's interesting! Mine's up -- come by when you can :)
ReplyDeleteFascinating list. For some reason, I wouldn't have expected to see Kurt Cobain on there. My list is up at Siani's Pot-Pourri/. Happy TT!
ReplyDeleteI am surprised that James Dean or Humphrey Bogart aren't on the list. By the way, your TT header is really cool!
ReplyDeleteWell, good for Marilyn.
ReplyDeleteAnna Nicole didn't have much money when she died because they're still fighting over the estate of her late husband.
I too would have thought Princess Di would have been on that list, but supposedly the royal family doesn't have a whole lot of money of their own and she was actually divorced from Prince Charles. Even Fergie had to get a job after her divorce.
Now that's a list!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy TT
I'm surprised Kurt is #1, too. Peeps love their Nirvana, I guess!
