Farm, Fam., & Wal-Mart

Well, that was a long weekend! So much to tell...First a little heads up, my computer had a complete meltdown. What does this mean, I will tell you...I am without Photoshop! No Photoshop!?! Yes, no Photoshop! Ugh! Oh Photoshop my little friend, I miss you. I packed up the fam. and my poor little computer and headed off to the farm to visit Grandma for Sun. and Mon. My mother is tech. connected, so I am hoping to have Mr. Computer back this weekend.
Oh the babes had quite a time at the farm. I can't help but think that Mini Horses don't look so mini when you are two feet tall. That being said, the babes had a blast feeding hay to Mini's and petting Kitties! We spent the night at a hotel, let me tell you, two little ones Husband and I in one room with two queen beds does not add up to sleep...at all. The night went a bit like 1:30 roll over and dive out of bed just in time to catch Miss Peach as she rolls out of bed (can't believe she didn't wake up, I literally caught her just before she hit the floor), 3:00 give The Little Man a bottle and pray he doesn't totally wake up, 5:00 he totally wakes up and wakes up everyone else, 6:00 I take babies to breakfast (at least Husband gets some sleep)...Just a long night.
OK, so here is my observation upon getting out of my little inner city bubble. Mega Super Stores frighten me. I live in a city where there are no Wal-marts, so I never go to them. I would say I make it to a Target maybe three times a year, and when I do, I am completely overwhelmed. I live in the city, I go to store x for meat (I actually know the butcher), store y for fish, store z for groceries, and Walgreen's for everything else. I walk to all these places so I just buy what I can carry. I walked into Wal-mart with my Mom and Miss Peach and I just don't know where to start...What do I need? What did I come in here for? Miss Peach literally just wants everything she sees (so many colors). Don't get me wrong, the prices are amazing (I got diapers for half of what I pay in the city). I just feel like I landed from outer space when I go into the store. Needless to say, we did successfully navigate the Wal-mart. I am back in the big city less one computer and my little friend Photoshop. Hopefully I can get the team to nap this afternoon so I can catch up on all my blogggin' buddies...Wish me luck, channel the Nap Gods for me!

  2. Sounds like a fun weekend! (Hey- I wanted to say, I know you tagged me for a meme, but the only computer I use is at work - we don't have internet at home- so I think I'm going to have to skip this one. Didn't want you to think I was ignoring you ;)

Hope you quickly recuperate from what sounds like a packed couple of days.

  8. Yep - that's the problem with Walmart - you end up buying way more than you went in for or spending way too much time looking at stuff you don't need. Sorry about your computer problems - I'm beginning to wonder if mine is on its last leg - I'm having to use my laptop yesterday and today cuz mine is so sluggish and tempermental lately. Glad the kids had fun with the minitures and cats - see ya.

  9. Wow. You had a busy weekend. We suburbanites live for trips to Target. I went twice today. I'm sorry Walhell scared you. At least you stocked up on the cheap diapers, right?

  10. Your comment about the prices at walmart being so much cheaper? You should tell that to some of the people that come through my line at work.

Gripe, gripe, gripe about everything costing so much. They need some perspective, I think.

  11. In answer to your question about my Wordless Wednesday picture - that huge face and mouth is the entrance to Luna Park, an amusement park in St Kilda, Melbourne.

The same face appears at Luna Park in Sydney as well.

  12. Computer meltdowns are all bad - the six or seventh circle of hell, really. Then again, so are repeated nighttime wakeups, missed naps and teething. (Can you tell how my day went today?)

  13. Being without a computer is hard enough, but for you missing Photoshop! Wow! I'm surprised you're able to function!!

I can't imagine a world without Walmart. That is so sad. I wish I didn't have to shop there.
