Key Lime Cove Fun...Soon to be Great Wolf Lodge!

I had NO plans for spring break. Nada. The kids were bummed. "We never go anywhere mom. (Insert big sad face here.)"

You know what, I can fix this. I looked up indoor water parks, and I picked Key Lime Cove. It's LITERALLY an hour drive north of Chicago. Easy Peasy. We had a ball. I've heard rumors next year it will reopen as Great Wolf Lodge. You can bet we'll be back!

From the jump we got that South Florida vibe.

We dumped our luggage in the room and I parked myself on a lounge chair and watched the kids float down the lazy river.

I LOVED that it was a perfect 84 degrees in the water park. We all could use the thaw.

There were TONS of ways for my kids to splash around and get wet.

AND yes, I went down the water slides. AND yes the Hurricane Vortex had me screaming my head off.
We spent three days at Key Lime Cove and you can bet we'll be back when they re-open. Good times had by all. Hope you got away for Spring Break too!
