Top 4 Twilight Zone Episodes On Netflix #StreamTeam

On the way home from school, Maggie asked: "Mommy, what is The Twilight Zone?"

"It's one of The Best. Shows. Ever." I replied.

"What is it about?" she asked.

OK...this is not an easy answer. What is The Twilight Zone about...

You're traveling through another dimension -- a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind. A journey into a wondrous land whose boundaries are that of imagination. That's a signpost up ahead: your next stop: the Twilight Zone!

You unlock this door with the key of imagination. Beyond it is another dimension: a dimension of sound, a dimension of sight, a dimension of mind. You're moving into a land of both shadow and substance, of things and ideas. You've just crossed over into... the Twilight Zone.

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call "The Twilight Zone".

I watched it ALL the time when I was a kid. My first thought..."Let's see if Netflix has it. We'll do a Best Episodes marathon and you can see for yourself."

Yes TV fans, Netflix has the ENTIRE series of The Twilight Zone...all five seasons!
With 156 episodes to choose from, I narrowed it down to the top 4 that totally freaked me out as a kid. That said, I couldn't help but wonder if they would hold up with the Minecraft, MacBook Pro, Tablet playing generation.

First up Eye of the Beholder. They were MESMERIZED. Do you remember this episode? You never see anyone's face, and a woman has had plastic surgery. OMG...they did not see the ending coming!

Then I cued up Nightmare at 20,000 Feet. Hello YOUNG William Shatner. "Mommy, is it really there?" "Keep Watching..." "Mommy, does he really see it?!" "Keep watching..."

They wanted more. Think about that. How amazing is it that this show holds up even today. Makes me happy. It's a Good Life came next. This one was SUPER creepy when I was a kid. It delivered today as well. CREEPY little boy.

We had time for one more show...While I love Time Enough at Last, and The Monsters Are Due On Maple Street, I thought my daughter would like Living Doll. Telly Savalas has his hands full in this one for sure.

"Now do you get what The Twilight Zone is about Maggs?" I asked.

"Yes I do Mom...and I'm ready for the play!"
What is your favorite Twilight Zone episode?
