Cotton Candy Goodness

I know it's an iPhone world, and I just live in it. That said...I am loveity LOVING my Blackberry Curve! *smooches*

Granted, I've only had it for about a week now, but I have dived head first into app. land, and I gots to share my favorite four with ya!

1) Bolt Browser - OMG...So glad I found this. Truth be told, I wasn't really jazzed about the Blackberry default browser:( Bolt is faster, which is always a plus. More than that, it has crazy easy navigation, and the web pages are viewed as they look on your computer...Yay! It's free, so run, don't walk to install it. (I'm a frugal McDougal, so I opted for the free version)

2) UberTwitter - If you will remember, wanting Twitter on my phone is what started this whole new cell phone odyssey. UberTwitter kicks Twitterberry's a**, 'nuff said. (as always, I go for the free option)

3) Pandora - Free internet radio! What?!? OMG, I can crawl into the 80's and never come out again. There is actually a station called "80's Cheese" Don'cha love it? Currently I'm listening to I Ran by Flock of Seagulls. Someone pass the popcorn:P (Free, free, free, free)

4) Slacker Radio - As much as I'm loving Pandora, Slacker Radio is making me swoon. You gotta remember, I spend at least an hour and a half a day carting kiddos around the city in the stroller. Now, I have one ear tuned into them, and the other listening to my new best friends (free Internet radio on my B'Berry). I'm such a loser, 'cause I have a constant inner dialogue with Slacker..."Oh no you didn't just play Pressure Drop by the Clash!?!" or "Video Killed the Radio Star by the Buggles...are you kidding me?!?" then there is "Every Day I Write the Book...seriously, I'm gonna have a dance party right here on the sidewalk!" Most days you will find me on the 80's Alternative station, sailing away on a wave of neon 80's cotton candy goodness=P (again, free option is the path I follow)

There ya go. Anyone out there on the Blackberry train, or am I the only one? I know...someday I'll get an iPhone...someday..."Beat Surrender by The Jam...I gotta dance...!" (Smokey...give me back my phone.)

  1. I got my Blackberry a little over a month ago and I LOVE it! I totally agree with your list. Have you tried the Google App? It is pretty sweet too.

  2. I love my Crackberry! It's shiny and red and it has a track ball. I have not gotten into any apps, but I'm intrigued about the Bolt browser. My guy has an iPhone, so I have directly compared. It is way easier to send texts and e-mails from my Blackberry.

  4. I can't wait for the rumored Kindle app for the BlackBerry. I'm addicted to reading on my kids iPod Touch - even more so than to the Kindle we just got.

    I'll have a geekgasm if/when they release it for the BlackBerry.

  5. hubby has an iphone and I'm not at all interested. I have enough to do with my time, my Curve's screen is big enough to clean without finger smudges, etc... I am SO glad you shared these. I hate the stupid browswer...

  7. I just got me a Blackberry too, and I LOVE IT! Except mine's a Trooper. Or a Scoop. Or was it a Storm? Or a . . . wait, I'll go Google it and come right back. Yep, it's a Storm. I don't care what it's called. It's my new love . . .

  8. We're getting new phones in January, when our contract allows us to upgrade at the reduced cost. I covet the iPhone. Covet it. But I would probably be just as happy with a blackberry. All of my friends love theirs. Of course, then I'll spend my whole day glued to it, maybe not the best thing for an internet addict.

  10. Oh my gosh, yes, yes, yes! Because I will NOT go to AT&T, I can't have my ever loving iPhone. So, BB it is - but of course, not until next month. But these apps are making my heart sing new songs!!! AAAAAHHHH!!! :-)

  14. We get Pandora on our ipod touch! We get internet, music, video, everything except the phone part, and you can even get that with an app and an adapter. I can tell you're lovin' your new phone!

  19. Gah... I have the SAME PHONE! I am in love... and I had no idea about Bolt Browser. ~faints~ I am downloading it as I type this. See.... computer at work... Blackberry now has a new browser. Thanks a ton, I can't wait to tell my Crackberry friends!
