Anyway, I had another Mom Memory that just melted my heart. A few nights ago, I woke up to "Mommy!" screams from The Little Man. All you moms know that scream. I rush into his room, poor little thing is half asleep, and trying to climb out of his crib. I ask what's the matter? He looks at me with his tired little eyes and says "Rock me like I'm a teeny, tiny baby."
My. heart. melted.
I picked up my Little Man, and rocked him until he fell asleep.
As I was putting him back in his crib, he said while completely asleep "little crib...little crib"

I just want to chew him up, he's so cute...Happy Mothers Day!

ReplyDeleteRocking but be the theme of the week as it's my post too!
Oh my goodness, how could that not melt your heart? He said that? I bet you'll never forget it... sigh... the joys of being a mom!
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day!
my daughter gave me a jewelry box she made in her Kindergarten class. I bawled my eyes out I was so moved
ReplyDeleteOh. My. God. That is too friggin' sweet. Rock me like a teeny tiny baby? Holy crap. I would've dropped everything to do that too! What a lil' guy and my heart is melting too. :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is some good perspective needed after my lil' guy of 22 months who is giving me the HARDEST time at bedtime!! He just started all of this bs of wanting me to sit by his bed when he goes to sleep but in a certain way, I should just relax cause he'll be bigger soon enough. :-)
Happy Mother's Day girlfriend.
awe how sweet! Loved the video!
ReplyDeleteHappy Mothers Day!
I love this story. Love it like crazy. I am glad you didn't chew him up because that would make for some awful Mothers Day memories : ).
ReplyDeleteOh my. What a sweet moment.

I got to rock a monkey to sleep yesterday and it just tugged my heartstrings.
Happy late Mother's Day hon!!!
Oh, that is so sweet. Melted MY heart, too! I keep telling my daughter (19 months) that I want her to "stay little," but she seems much more interested in being a big girl, not a baby! :)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, how cute is that? Love it. It's those little moments that make it all so worth it.
ReplyDeleteToo cute! I sometimes sneak baby girl in bed w/ us just so I can cuddle. ;)
