I watched Jon Stewart last night. Did anyone else watch it? I just loved what Arianna Huffington had to say about blogging! Check it out....(I know it's 6 min. long, but if you have a moment, watch)
"Blog your passions, both obvious and secret." Was her main message. That's kinda what I do. I found my passion through this blog. I had no idea I could illustrate before blogging. Turns out...I'm pretty good at it (if I do say so). She also said "blogging is a first draft of history." She meant that you blog as if you are talking to a friend...without editing. I really love that advice (mainly because that's how I blog). She also said 50,000 blogs are created every day! Holy ton of blogs Batman...as a blog designer, I'm loving that stat!
I kind of wish Jon Stewart had been a bit more receptive to blogging. He would be a great blogger (I'd totally read it)! Now someone has gotta get me her book for Christmas...hint hint Husband;)
Did you see it? What did you think?

I read HuffPo all through the election. And I love Jon Stewart - he should totally blog.
ReplyDeleteI didn't see it but I will watch it. My daughter was very disappointed today to learn my hubby doesn't have a blog (he was reading a cycling blog and she thought it was his until she saw strangers!)...Time for him to join the 50K a day ranks!
ReplyDeleteI didn't see this(I'm sure I was blogging) - but I do like her interviews - she's snappy!
ReplyDeleteI made my first button - for myself - not too hard - I couldn't believe it!
Makes me wanna go out and buy the freakin book...thank! ;)
ReplyDeleteI agree, dont over think it....I did that in the beginning and it made me not want to do it...I write like IM talking to my friends or telling my father whats going on here at home.
Great interview. I have never liked Jon Stewart but he wasn't a complete troll in that interview. So it wasn't too bad.
ReplyDeleteI am shocked by that statistic. I would have guessed a couple 1000.
That was interesting, that chick sure is into blogging!
ReplyDeleteShe made such a good observation about bloggers and the passion on sharing their lives.
ReplyDeleteAnd as a blog designer I see you making big bucks in the future.
