Dah, dah, dah, dah...dah, dah, dah, dah! Yes, I watched the new 90210. Not only did I watch it, I had to work to watch it. The show got bumped by the Cub game, so I had to find a replay and DVR it. I'm not proud, I know it's complete garbage, but so is cotton candy...yummy, yummy garbage:PHere's the thing...I don't care about Aunt Becky (I don't know her character's name on the show). I loved seeing Kyle from Melrose, just make him Kyle from Melrose. I was all over Kelly Taylor (who is her little boy's Dad, I'm thinking Dillon). Oh, the Peach Pit has come a long way. I loved hanging out and having a latte with Nat:) Just give me what I want CW.
Bring back the whole cast, and let's just get rolling with The Same Old 90210. This whole high school new kiddo thing, don't need it. Andrea Zuckerman's daughter...don't care what she's doing in high school. Look at that bunch up there, they need jobs, bring the old show back, 'cause I'm totally in.
I just feel like they are giving my generation just enough of the old cast to make me watch, while playing to a younger demographic with the whole high school angle. Pick a side CW. Who do you want, them or me? Pick me, pick me, pick me!!!
Run Report
I ran 16 miles on Saturday through some major hills in the suburbs. I was pretty happy with it (9:36 mile pace). I need to be much faster than that on race day, but there won't be any hills like the ones I was running. Unfortunately, it is a good 40 min. drive from The Big City. I didn't get my stretch or cold soak in for a good hour after the run. The result...my legs are sore:P So, I'm off to do some resistance stretching right now. I gotta work out this soreness!

LOL! I totally succumbed to the plurk pressure and tried to watch, but Nate commandeered the remote and refused to have it on. Wouldn't even let me sully the DVR by recording it.
ReplyDeleteDamn.
Go with your bad self running. :-) So proud of you.
Totally watched it. Absolutely hated it, of course... But I missed Brenda. My life just hasn't been the same without her all these years...
ReplyDeleteAnd was anybody else terribly disgusted with how skinny the new cast is??? Lori Laughlin(sp?) was so thin that her pelvic bone actually made her look like she had belly. Ewwwww.
I cannot watch the new one. Feels wrong...
ReplyDeleteYes, they were crazy skinny! Like I am sick skinny...
ReplyDeleteI used to have 90210 parties with my friends back in the day but I just can't bring myself to watch the new one. It makes me feel so old.
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the run!
I didn't watch, but I wish I had. I was a HUGE fan back in the day.
ReplyDeleteI totally watched it. And I loved it.
ReplyDeleteI went with an open mind and KNEW it would not be the same 90210. I think it has potetial. I really do. Plus, I love how they have the old cast here and there.
I was planning on watching it and forgot! Thanks for your take on it - I may have to DVR it and see how it goes!
ReplyDeleteI totally watched too. I have to say that the prude in me was a little shocked and I HOPED that the jr high and high school wasn't watching even though I know that this was at least part of the intended audience. I enjoyed it though.. guilty pleasure for sure.
ReplyDeleteA agree... I would totally be over that show if they brought back the orginal cast.
ReplyDeleteWTG on your run.
The music and the young cast remind me of the OC (without the uber cute factor of Benjamin McKenzie and Peter Gallagher) - but the writing just isn't as witty as the OC (or even Gossip Girl). That and I keep thinking "Evil Eden" from Nip Tuck every time Naomi comes on screen...
ReplyDeleteGREAT JOB ON YOUR RUN!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI ATTEMPTED 16 miles on Saturday.
yep.
didn't work out.
when is your marathon??
ReplyDelete[i need to catch up on your blog]
which event are you training for?
Way to go on the run! Ugh, I was such a fan back then. Wanted to watch this but had no idea when it was one, etc. (and we don't have cable so no DVR). Oh, and you won my giveaway. Zane picked you out of the hat! Yippee!!! I'll e-mail to get your info to send your lovely prize!!!
ReplyDeleteDammit, I missed it! Part of me is glad though because I know I would get sucked in and watch even though it is probably terrrrrrible!
ReplyDeleteI tried to get into this too, no dice ! WTG on the run I so wish I could do the miles you do!
ReplyDeleteAwe, I can't believe I'm going to miss this crap TV... I always miss the good stuff!
ReplyDeleteMaybe we'll get it here next year - and I can catch up. The old 90210 brings back such great memories!
Congrats on the run!
I watched, kind of liked it. I will continue to watch and hope that the old cast comes back. There use to be a group of us that did 90210 parties and Melrose parties too. That seemed like so long ago.
ReplyDeleteGreat job on your run.
So impressed with the running! But, you knew that. Keep owning it!
ReplyDeleteI watched it, and didn't care for it either. I just hope it gets better by bring back more old cast members.
ReplyDeletegood going on the run ... amazing!
P.S. I tagged you for a meme post.
ReplyDeleteTammy
You. Are still so awesome.
ReplyDeleteI? Gave up the running attempts after the 90 seconds run, 60 seconds walk...or whatever it was
yeah, i had to watch too. you summed it up perfectly.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason, we don't get the CW. I was so bummed to! Although, I'm not sure it is worth watching without Dylan and Brandon! What on earth was Aunt Becky doing on 90210 in the first place?
ReplyDeleteI wish I could run like that. That's awesome!
I agree. I'd watch if they didn't have all the new teenyboppers in the show. Give me the old crew so I won't feel so old.
ReplyDeleteI actually like the new one.
ReplyDeleteIt's possible that I haven't actually matured since the first one. It's also possible that since Kelly was always my favorite character, I am perfectly happy with just her.
I 198039483098% agree with you on 90210. I really think that the father is Brandon. Can't wait to find out.
