D'oh!
You are never going to believe this! Ummm...remember the half marathon I was so bummed about over the weekend?(Yeah, that's me) Well, I am still bummed, but not as bummed. This is so crazy, I can't even believe it myself. They had the finish line in the wrong place! We all ran farther than a half marathon! Don't ask me how this happens, 'cause I don't know. The way I figure it, my time was about three minutes better than I thought. So, while it was a disappointment...it was not the complete disaster I thought it was. Crazy I know!

That is very weird. How on earth does that happen? I bet they are quite embarrased.
ReplyDeleteLook on the bright side, at least they made it longer than shorter? It would be worse to say that you finished a near-half-marathon, right?
ReplyDeleteYay, that's awesome! Well, I guess it's awesome. I'm not really sure. I'd be like 'who can't measure and why do they have the job of putting down where the finish line is???'
ReplyDeleteok i think that is great for your time, but WTF - that is NOT a good thing for a race to do. i would be fuming and cause an uproar...running my ass longer than i had to.
ReplyDeleteyou look great.
That is so crazy! I'd hate to be the guys that placed that line.
ReplyDeleteGood news for you! How could they put the finish line further than they are supposed to?
ReplyDeleteThat's crazy! I don't understand how that's even possible.
ReplyDeleteThat's bizarre! But good for you -you did better than you thought AND you got hit on at 5:00 AM! I call that a great morning! :)
ReplyDeleteYeah for you! I felt bad that you were bummed...especially since I'd get winded running to my mailbox!
ReplyDeleteSeriously? Can that sort of thing happen? I'm thrilled for you because you had a better run but what were those planners thinking? (they weren't!!) You look great, btw!!!
ReplyDeleteAmazing! How strange.
ReplyDeleteWow - as much as that sucks you had to run further - how fabulous you had a better time!
ReplyDeleteDig the photo!! You look fabulous.
hmm... i have some friends trying to encourage me to join them for a triathalon. This extra running thing, though, does not encourage me. Usually I only run when chased. Or late. So fairly often, actually.
ReplyDeleteTwo words . . . NO WAY.
ReplyDeleteHow did they do that???
Congrats on the math error!?
ReplyDeleteNo freaking way!!! That is nuts! I've never heard of such a thing. Good grief!
ReplyDeleteYou look amazing!!!
Seriously? That's beyond embarrassing. But good for you!
ReplyDeleteWow, I can't believe that! Are they altering your scores? Love th pic.
ReplyDeleteI really can't even wrap my brain around that. How do you make that big of a mistake? D'oh!
ReplyDeleteOOOPS!!!!
ReplyDeleteBut yay for you girl!!!!
oh my. that is just wrong. glad you feel better about your time!
ReplyDeleteAre you kidding me?!?!
ReplyDeleteThat's fantastic! And girl, you look fab in action :)
NICE! You see it was a mistake, you were hard on yourself for nothing.
ReplyDeleteWow! That would make me feel better, too!
