  2. Wow am I first? Cool - I lurve Flash drives :)

What's cool about being a Mom? I think one of the things I like about being a Mom is that everything is new again -through the eyes of my child - all the things that are new to him become interesting once again to me. I think the best thing about being a Mom is baby hugs - my baby is now 11yr but thankfully still allows hug :)

  6. I love being a mom! What I love the most is watching someone that you made (sounds silly) and watching them learn and develop! My 3 year old just started sounding out his words last night and I woke up this morning with a bounce in my step because I am so proud and in awe of him! So neat to watch!

  16. How cute are those! I'm a hard working full time student AND full time Mom so the value of those little flash drives are priceless as I commute back and forth between college/home computers.

What's cool (and what I love) about being a Mom is walking through the front door when I get home from school and seeing that HUGE grin and receiving a giant hug :-) And definitely just being in awe of how fast they grow.

  22. The best thing about being a mom is that they put you on auto-pilot . . . when you are just too tired, too overwhelmed, too disorganized. . . you don't get to 'give up', because you have to keep being the mommy. And when everything is falling into place, it's just sheer fun and joy.

The other best thing: my kids have taught me that NO ONE should leave home without a flash drive! Seriously!

    ReplyDelete
  23. I love flash drives and could definitely use another to help take photos back and forth to places. Thanks so much for the great giveaway.

Also since you asked being a mom I get to hear all the cute and off the wall things my little ones say, you know the stuff you hear people talk about but never really witness, now I get to witness it all the time.

  26. I'm not a mom (yet - I'm still in university), but my mom is great. I'm headed home for the summer at the end of the week and I can't wait to see her again. She's a cool mom because she shares some of my less common interests (e.g. collecting rocks).

The best thing about being a mom is the love I get back from my son. My family is going through a hard time right now and my five year old son was there trying to comfort me... he brought me his favorite blanket and said "It'll be ok mommy" Just typing in makes my heart happy.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Oh goodie! A give-a-way! Pick me, pick me. :D
I love being a mom! Actually I am a stepmom, which (as my husband tells me) is just as important. I have been one for 17 yrs. and survived diapers, barf, potty training, meet the teacher, puberty, "jealousy induced" restraining orders from BM, driving, sports, and everything in between! Now he is 18 1/2 yrs old, and thank goodness, we have a great relationship. The best part? I have always enjoyed our talks. When we are driving or shopping or eating dinner. It has been fun to learn his view points & who he is!

This is always changing but currently the best part about being a mom is listening to my sweet little girl tell me what she wants to be when she grows up.

    B - "I want to be a witch when I grow up."

Me - "You do? What kind of a witch?"

B - "The Wicked Witch of the West of course! She is such a pretty green and she has those neat monkeys mommy. Plus I already have green eyes so I am almost there!"

Then she launches into her movie quotes and we all start to laugh. She is such a funny and fun little girl. Really the best part of life for me is being her mom.

  39. Oh, you can NEVER have too many of these things, can you?!

My fave part of being a mom so far is watching my two kids and seeing all the differences and the likenesses between them. Not in a comparing, is one better than the other kind of way, just how fun and marvelous these differing people are who live in the same family!

If I tell you how many of these my hubby has lost and what's worse is we don't know what info. was on it.

That's just one of the exciting things that happen to me being a wife and Mother.

The other day I was asked the question, what's it like being a stay at home mom? Well, I said I'm not going to give you the knee jerk reaction response. I'm going to lay it on the table and tell you the truth even if it hurts, me...LOL!

Being a SAHM is the best thing that could have ever, ever happened to me. I would not be the free spirited, silly laughing, messy clothes wearing ball of fun if i weren't. I've discovered that the grass is not greener on the other side :)

The absolute best thing about being a mom, is what I learn FROM my kids. They have taught me that life does not have to be so complicated and stressful. For kids, things just "are". They accept things at face value and don't complicate life with a bunch of "what-ifs". Sometimes adults need to do the same.

I can't describe it any better than that. My baby is almost one now, and I don't get to hold her close enough to smell it often these days.

Of course, there's also the big, four tooth, slobbery kisses. They're pretty great, too.

I really want to be sometime, but I've gotta find me a husband first. :) But my own mom is great. She's the best.

  108. Wow! This is a GREAT prize! Thank you for offering such a fantastic giveaway. I'm sure everyone would love to get their hands on one of these -- including me! What's best about being a Mom ... I would have to say the best thing is when your child says "thank you" for the little things. Or when their eyes are wide open, learning about something for the first time and you can share that with them, as if you are seeing it for the first time, as well. You tend to forget how important those "little" things are -- like the color of the sky or the shape of the clouds or a catapiller turning into a butterfly -- until your child helps to show it all to you again.

How soon you forget though when you get them in your arms and just instantly fall in love with them. Just had the one and am glad I didn't have to miss out on any of it!

One of the great things about being a mom is getting to play at the playground again. You don't get strange looks swinging really high on the swings or going down the slide if you are with your little one. The absolute best thing though, hands down and without a doubt, are the hugs and kisses.

I think it will be an absolutely amazing experience. I can't wait for all the little things, like making breakfast for my kids before school, having family nights, taking the kids out to do fun things, helping them with their homework.

It all seems so great, and I can't wait until it's my time :) My fiance and I are always talking about it.

  140. Those are great. LushMan has an ugly gray one, but I could use one too.

As for being a mom, the greatest part really depends on which child I'm talking about-

From TheOldest- just watching her blossom into the 5 year old she now is. She's no longer my little baby.

From TheMiddleChild- The random "I love you's" she says.

From TheYoungest- big, open mouth baby kisses.

  149. What's cool about a mom is my mama. She's gone (five years this June 19) but she will always live in my heart. And in my name because Marilu Mann is my nom de plum and it is a combination of my mother, Marilu, and my writing partner's mom's maiden name,Mann. My mother was my biggest supportere and was one of the first people to read our first completed manuscript (which lives under a bed somewhere LOL). So that's my mom input!

  168. The coolest part of being a mom.. wow.. I can't write a book right now, here are some finer points.

    *The words.. I love you.

*Having the kids make home videos, and watching them with them years later

*A hard day at work made better by your 14 year old telling you to sit down so she can make dinner.

*Your toddler crawling up in your lap, just because.

*Having someone come up to you and "recruit" your son to play football.

*Raising six kids, and being sane enough to have coffee twice a month with friends.

*Being single, and willing to give up EVERYONE for my kids, even if it means being alone until they get older.

*Going to work outside the home ~laughs~

  169. Such a cool giveaway! I was walking around in the grocery store, just rambling on about what I had just put in the buggy and what I was going to get next. It occurred to me that I now have someone to talk to while shopping. My 18 month old would just respond "yeah!" after each remark. Too funny.

  171. Okay I'm a Mom, and I'm finding it hard to believe that my baby will be 12 on Friday. I keep telling myself, I cannot be that old, but alas, I suppose I am. My husband told me that if she becomes a Mom when I became a Mom, then in 10 years I'll be a grandma, how depressing is that? Lol thanks for the chance. --

  172. The coolest thing about being a mom is having my kids snuggle up to me and say "I love you, Mommy." I will miss that when they grow up...

I love being a mom because it is perfectly OK to stay in my PJs all day (like right now), have spit up in my hair (like now), and loads of laundry to do (like now) . . . and . . . I get to play with toys and make a fool of myself not caring at all what anyone thinks, except little J :)

  178. This would be incredibly handy around our house!

The best part about being a mom is how much you become empowered about everything. You grow a new life from practically nothing, birth it, and feed it...it's amazing that your body can do that! Then you find out what else you can do throughout your child's life, as you learn to adapt to new challenges as they grow. In short, you learn a lot about yourself and your own abilities. And that's really cool.

    ReplyDelete
  179. Boy, would these be handy!

One of the coolest things about being a mom is that it lets me do fun "kid" things without people thinking I'm goofy. LOL And I think the absolute best has got to be when my son runs up to me, throws his arms around my neck, and says, "Mama, I love you." I figure one day he'll be a teenager and too cool for hugs, so I cherish every one of those.

  182. What a great idea for a post. I could really use one of these...I'm currently writing my first novel and work a 9-5, so I'm toggling computers.

Sadly I am not a mother yet, however I admire anyone who is a mom because they have this inner strength about them. Mother's are also unselfish towards their own needs, putting their children first and foremost. I find these two traits so endearing, for I do not possess them. Perhaps one day I will when I am blessed with children, but for now I will continue to admire my sister, my friends and my own mother, who are strong and self-sacrificing. They are mothers. :)
