I Will...

Well, you are just going to have to allow me to get sappy...Husband was at work all day today. This afternoon, I had both babies with poopy diapers just screaming after naptime. Talk about jumpin' right back into it! Well, I don't know where it came from, but in the middle of just about loosin' my mind, I started to sing...

Who knows how long I've loved you
you know I love you still
will I wait a lonely lifetime
if you want me to I will

Love you forever and forever
Love you forever still
Love you forever and forever
forever and ever I will...

You know, the Beatles song. The babies both stopped dead in their tracks and listened to me. It was like a scene in a movie. When I was done, Miss Peach said "I love you Mommy". *tear* Sometimes I think I know what I am doing:)

Then they went back to screaming...

  1. LOL!

Good timing! For a bit any way.

Lately my girls love Jimmy Buffett and Bob Marley. It seems to soothe them and I get spring fever and a margarita craving (maybe a Red Stripe, too.)

  9. Singing or whispering always gets my kids' attention...but only for a few minutes. Then, like you said, they go back to screaming.

  10. Awww! Too cute. I often start to sing or whisper when I'm trying to get my sons attention, works better than yelling. LOL

  11. Nothing like the old bands. Who would not stop crying to listen? Well, maybe if I was singing..I am tone deaf!

My son loved James Taylor when he was a baby. Soothed him right away.

  15. Yep, what a perfect example of those rough days. There is usually one bright spot you can catch and use to ride the wave.

    Great song!

It's too bad we can't stop the screaming. But it's nice to get a break from it.
