I need your help people...I am totally perplexed by this. Somewhere in the past week and a half, I became "spam" on some of my favorite blogs. Me, spam! What gives? From what I can tell, my little Blogger Nap Warden a** can't comment on Wordpress blogs...I get sent straight to the spam folder...Does anyone know why this is, and how I can fix it?Momisodes

My next question...I don't know if you noticed, but I've been cleaning up my sidebar. Putting things in categories. Looks good, no? Anyways...What is the take on the Blogrush in my sidebar? Has anyone else put it in their sidebar? Has it brought you any new traffic? I am on the verge of deleting it...I just don't know. Dump it, or keep it...what do you think?
First off, I'm dumpin' blogrush too. I think it sent me all of 2 visitors (myself and myself).
ReplyDeleteIf you can visit on other blogs, try renewing your IP address (ipconf /release and then ipconfig /renew at a command line) - it's possible your IP is blocked by a WP plugin?

Hon, I'm sooooooooooooooooooo sorry that you're getting bumped into my SPAM :( I am checking it every few hours to make sure I'm not losing any comments in there.
ReplyDeleteI've been getting CRAZY levels of REAL SPAM comments. So many that I had to activate the "Akismet" Wordpress plugin (spam catcher)....maybe this can be the culprit! I'm not sure why it constantly chooses your comments though :( I'm curious if the others on your list have this plugin as well...keep me posted!
I'm about to drop blogrush too. I try to refer to it every once in a while, but it falls last in my radar. I think that's the case for most people. Sandy, I have the Akismet and it does well for me, but I do check it occassionally to see if anyone was wrongly classified as Spam. So sorry to hear Nap, I'm sure it'll get resolved.
ReplyDeleteI tried Blogrush for maybe a month and then dumped it. I just didn't see a "rush" of traffic. (Maybe a trickle?)
ReplyDeleteI use Spam Karma on my WP blog and sometimes comments get blocked but usually it will flag it first before dumping it.
That stinks!

ReplyDeleteI have had an increase in traffic, but I doubt it's from blogrush. I think I can attribute it more to joining blog365 and cr8buzz.

I had a blog dump me in as spam recently too. I can't remember which one though, but I was baffled!

I don't have Blogrush, but I say if you don't like it, dump away.

It just started this past week. Wordpress blogs are dumping blogger blogs into spam? At least as far as I can tell. All WP blogs that I've commented on, my comments don't show up until they're rescued from the spam box. WEIRD!!

ReplyDeleteAs for BlogRush, it looks better than the GoodBlogs thing, but I think the traffic is definitely a trickle.
Dawn @ kaiseralex.com tells me that Stumble Upon is where the real traffic gold is.
