You Better Work!

First off, no...I did not find myself in front of a store at 4am in a mad shopping frenzy. To those of you who did, I say good luck and shop well! Second, I am trying to workout regularly through the holidays. This is not easy. Husband and I did an hour and a half power walk today. It went pretty well. This evening, on the other hand, was a bit different story. We were sitting in front of the TV once the kiddos had gone to bed...I suggested on a commercial that we do some sit ups. We hopped down on the floor and did twenty..."OK, now flip over and lets do ten push ups." I said. So we did. "Now flip back over, and lets do twenty more sit ups." Husband was not happy with that, but he did it. "OK, back to push ups..." I said. Husband was not having this at all. "We have to do three sets of each." I explained to him. "That sucks!" said Husband. I don't know why, but that just made me chuckle;) Long story short, I dragged him kicking and screaming through a pretty good workout during commercials. I think I'll give him tomorrow off, and see what I can get him to do on Sunday...Send some good vibes his way, I can be a real drill sergeant when I want to be!

  1. I wish I could get the hubby to so that kind of stuff. We're both so lazy right now with our new parent's paunch. It's sad.

    Good luck to you!

  2. During commercials is the best time to exercise. But, what do you do if you don't have tv? Oh yeah, you JUST DO IT!

  3. LOL! Good for you! My husband is actually out on his run at the moment. 3 miles, at least 3 times a week, alternating with going to the gym. It's one of the few things he doesn't need a bit of prodding on. :)

  4. I need you at my house. I did go to the sales at o'dark early, it is fun. We heard on the TV we were supposed to spend $800, we spent less than $100 don't know if I helped the economy but got a good deal on the two things we went out to get.

  5. Tell hubby he'll have a lot more fun with you if he's in such good shape, you can't keep your hands off him.

Maybe it'll work with yours. The Tour Manager sure doesn't get it. *sigh*

  6. Great Job! I agree, 4AM are people crazy?! We had one mall that opened up at Midnight! Not us!!! We hit the YMCA as a family. It was actually alot of fun. We played basketball. With a 2 year old and 3 year old, it's more like chase the ball. No, we don't kick a basketball. Don't throw the ball at sister's head!!! Anyway, it was great.

  11. This is funny! I used to do exercises during commercials too but nobody would actually do them with me.

  13. Too funny...we tried this the other day and made it through two sets of commericals before giving in and grabbing a bag or pretzels. We'll try again tonight.
