Trying to orchestrate a move during the Christmas Holiday has lead me to the conclusion that people own to much stuff. This has made it very hard for me to buy more stuff for people. This year, I have decided that it's time to change the "gift" giving holiday. This year I am going to give yummy gifts that you enjoy, and are gone. No stuff to lug around forever, just some yummies. Here is what I've come up with so far...
1) Tea
2) Wine
3) Imported Beer
4) Pecan Pie
5) Chocolates
6) Gourmet Coffee
7) Chili Fixings
8) Steaks
9) Gourmet Hot Chocolate
10) Cheese
11) Cookies
12) Pasta Assortment
13) Cup Cakes

ReplyDeleteSince having Sofie (and all of her stuff), I've increasingly noticed the claustrophobic, unnecessary stuff I have around.
On a similar note, I've long enjoyed giving "experiences" as gifts... concert or theater tickets (or Ticketmaster giftcards), restaurant certificates, etc. LOVE your post!

ReplyDeleteI have a friend who makes the most amazing sweet jalapeno peppers. She jars them and her jalapeno jelly and sells them. They make GREAT gifts and you can't find them anywhere but here in Texas.
