Happy Thanksgiving Maytee!
Well we're home...After driving about an hour and forty five minutes to Husband's parents house for dinner and then back home, we finally got the kiddos down to bed. That is a long day my friends. I don't know that any kiddo does well with that much car time. It's just a lot of car time. I never know how to dress everyone for holiday stuff. Truth be told, I don't really buy "dress" clothes for the babies. Things just become filthy immediately. I didn't blog Halloween for the kiddos, it got a bit ridiculous. I don't know why, but Miss Peach refused to wear her costume. Instead, she insisted on carrying this years, and last years costumes on hangers to trick or treat. We looked beyond silly. Can you guess where I'm going with this? You got it, this morning before we headed out for the holiday with Husband's family, Miss Peach decides/insists that today, she will wear the pirate costume. Yes my dear blogging community, my daughter went to Thanksgiving dinner dressed as a Pirate...Whata' ya gonna do? Pirate it is...Definitely not Norman Rockwell...How was your Thanksgiving?

That's...um, AWESOME! I wish I could have rebeled like that :-)
ReplyDeleteNope, this year's TG was a whip... as expected.
My son was excited to see his cousins, but refused to nap, got overwhlemed, and had another holiday meltdown... in front of my husband's family.
So, I go to be the one that "can't control her kid" (smirk)...
Ah, well. Happy Thanksgiving, Nap Warden.
We hosted and it was wonderful...Happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDelete1 1/2 from the city...where do his parents live???

happy Thanksgiving anyway ... well maybe the Mayflower had something in common both sailed in ships.
ReplyDeleteLOL! She sounds cute. If she wants to be a pirate....its great that you just let her be.
ReplyDeleteOK. I googled it. I know what it is now. Sounds FUN!!! A massive shopping carnival.
ReplyDeleteI think pirates and Thanksgiving go together perfect!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, Missy! I hope she ate well me heartys. And, used great words like landlubber and scurvy dog. Please tell me you got great pictures of that one!! I don't think anybody really looks like Norman Rockwell, now do they?
ReplyDeleteAnd, next year, pull out the costume on Natl Talk Like a Pirate Day (9/19).
hi, That really made me laugh, pirate costume to dinner, that's sort of appropriate since pirates could have been on the Mayflower and stuff. And I like the fact that she carried her costumes to trick or treat, she's very amusing!! Janet
ReplyDeleteMine wore her Glinda costume to Thanksgiving. She also wore it for her birthday party a couple of weeks ago. Oh, and she did wear it for Halloween. We're getting plenty of use out of a cheesy $15 costume.
ReplyDeletehow funny is that? tee hee
ReplyDeleteA pirate? That's cute! We had a good Thanksgiving, thanks for asking. See you soon. Kellan

ReplyDeleteI so love that Ms. Peach and her ways. :)
speaking of costumes, my Jackelope wore the black and the red spiderman suit under his clothes. The guy's gotta have options, I guess.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a good holiday.
Oh, how cute! I hope you got lots of pictures of that one.
ReplyDeleteOMG, you made me LOL.
ReplyDeleteWe hosted to avoid the 1.5 hr drive. Worked out pretty well, but I had to roast the bird! Which is A LOT of work! Phew!
Kudos to you for allowing your daughter to express her creativity.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing children wearing Halloween costumes at inopportune times. It is a wonderful statement of the acceptance and creativity that the child is exposed to.
