Chicago Flash Mob Dance!

I learned SO much on this project...Had to do over (it wouldn't surprise me if I tried to organize another one, just to do...no commercial submission), I would do it inside, and hijack the PA system. Sound on this kind of thing needs to be LOUD. I also think if we had about 20 more dancers, it really would have popped.

That said, the folks who showed up, really did deliver. (Keep in mind, I don't know ANY of this people) This was all organized online.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again...editing is my ace in the hole (post production is God)!

Yes...we got the footage we needed (and edited) for our commercial submission. I will be putting that here in about a week. I really like how it turned out...I think we got lucky:P

I have music, and dance routine break down so far. (figured out video editing on the hop yesterday:P)
It's looking like we will be doing this downtown...shooting for the last week in June.

Now then...I am going to be buried in Illustrator all weekend...work, work, work...

Flash Dance

Some of you may have noticed me babbling around the micro-blogosphere like a chicken with my head cut off. Here is my deal...

For reasons I can not explain...yet, I have to put on a Flash Mob Dance in Downtown Chicago. What is a Flash Mob Dance...you ask? This...

It's really fun, and really cool! If I had...oh, I don't know...maybe ONE dance connection, I might feel confident I could pull this off:P Can you spell S-C-A-R-E-D?

I never thought I'd type this...but God bless Craig's List. Chicago dancers have been coming out of the woodwork to help (apparently this Flash Dance has reached cult status in the dance community). So, the goal...get about 100 dancers to converge on a downtown plaza, nail a choreographed routine, and then walk away like nothing happened. Easy/peasy...not:P

I can't tell you why we are doing it (no, it has nothing to do with the face painting project). I can tell you...if we pull this off...it will be totally cool!

Ya with me...ya against me? Can I pull this off?
